“Fantastic little village!”
Reviewed 27 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The cottage was cosy and well furnished. Very clean and cosy! A beautiful little village with walks right on the doorstep.

A very short drive into Betws-Y-Coed where there are plenty of shops and places to eat/drink.

There are plenty of activities in the surrounding areas and everything is easily accessible. Can't wait to return!

“Perfect little country bolt hole holiday venue...”

My partner and I decided on the spur of the moment to spend a few days in Snowdonia - wanting to take in the spectacular autumnal scenery at this time of year. Luckily this cottage was free for a few days during the week and provided a fabulous base for our day trip explorations. The cottage is really cosy and perfect for two people. We stopped off at the Rhug Organic Estate farm shop on our journey to the cottage (about 30 minute drive away) and stocked up on some lovely supplies (owner advised there was no shop in village) including the best lamb shoulder we have ever tasted. The cottage kitchen is really well equipped and the open plan lounge area, with wood burning stove, was the perfect place to relax in the evening, mulling over our photographs taken that day. Local pub The Eagles is also very friendly and there are some lovely walks starting from the village (you can borrow some books from the cottage). Also if you don't fancy making breakfast, the Conwy Falls Cafe was a great find just a couple of minutes drive up the road. Opens a at 9am. Good wifi there too. Would definitely recommend this cottage and very much hope to be back!

“Ideal bolt hole”

Stayed for 2 weeks at the cottage, which was ideal for me as a solo traveller, just the right size and everything I needed to be comfortable. No problems at all and the owner was very helpful and easily contactable. Would say this is ideal for a couple looking for a hideaway for a while, or as a base for any activity in the national park.

“Great base for exploring Snowdonia”

Very comfortable clean and well equipped bolt hole for exploring the area around Betws-y-coed. Wood burner with logs, matches and fuel provided was a nice touch. Small, but perfect for two people, there's masses of walking in the area and it's nice to be close to the tourist areas but not actually in them. Penmachno is VERY quiet - but parking is a bit of an issue.

Very impressed with cleanness of the cottage absolutely amazing place to stay couldn't pick better place to stay. U can say the person who owned put they heart to running that place. It's even better then pictures. Everything what we need it was to there. Piece and quiet place. U could here bird signing in the morning or evening. Very nice neighbouring and helpfully elderly person live next door was friendly and very welcoming. Can't say anything wrong about that place. Warm cosy cottage recommended everyone to stay.
