Dear Naz, Urooj and Family,
Thank you very much for posting a review on Trip Advisor. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay here and we look forward to meeting you again sometime.
Geoffrey and Wendy
The stay was an absolute delight.. Amazing property which is well organised. Geoffery and Wendy are the perfect hosts. They have gone to great lengths to ensure that we had a comfortable stay, from the well organised catalogues of maps, activities and attractions to the crystal clear instructions about anything and everything inside the house. Happy to recommend this place and we are sure to be back visiting this lovely little place.
Dear Rahul, Gayatri, Krish, Sai, and Seetha
Thank you for such a nice Trip Advisor review; we really appreciate our guests taking the trouble to submit a review, thank you.
We are happy that you enjoyed your brief stay here. It was very nice to meet you all and to make your acquaintance - we enjoyed your company and were very interested to hear all about India
We hope that you had an uneventful journey home and that Sai and Seetha are becoming more accustomed to our British weather. Coming directly from near-equatorial 35°C, Sai and Seetha must have been a bit shocked, even with our central heating and supplementary electric fires. We are happy that you found the house warm enough but you may be interested to learn that after you left we received two new, huge radiators - so even equatorial guests will feel "just like home".
We look forward to meeting you again sometime,
Geoffrey and Wendy
The Garden House is even better than the pictures. The gardens and flowers are amazing! The house itself is comfortable, spacious and has everything you need. We stayed in a variety of vacation rentals during our month in Britain and this was by far our favorite. It felt like home. The organized files with maps and brochures of everything in the area were quite helpful. Both my husband and Geoff love maps, so they spent some happy times poring over them.
We had some car troubles and Geoff and Wendy went out of their way to help us. We are back in Southern California suffering through another heat wave and really miss the cool weather and this beautiful spot in Wales. Thank you, Geoff and Wendy for a wonderful stay.
Dear Shirley and Bill,
Thank you very much for your very generous Review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay here so much - we also enjoyed your company.
We are glad that you enjoyed our "cool" weather in September; actually, we thought it was quite warm! And now, in October, we have had some lovely hot, dry days. Not quite Californian, of course.
We hope that you enjoyed your trip up to Scotland and that you survived the rather large midges that they say the Scots breed especially to keep out the English invaders.

I stayed at the Country Garden house a few weeks ago with my family. Geoff and Wendy are a wonderful kind couple. They made us feel totally at home. We loved every minute of our time in the area and with both of them. The home is cozy and comfortable with all the amenities. They are both knowledgeable about the area and will help you with anything they can do for you. It was a lovely stay!
Dear Harjinder, Rupert and Mindy,
Thank you for submitting your very nice review to Trip Adviser. We are glad that you liked your stay here - we enjoyed having you. The best Wifi reception is on the sun-roof!
Now that you are home again in the United States I expect that you are glad to take a rest from all your travels. Here in North Wales the weather has improved considerably and our garden is flourishing again.
We wish you all the best on your next tour and look forward to meeting you again sometime.

My boyfriend and one of our friends stayed for 3 nights and 4 days this August.
We had a wonderful stay. Just what we were looking for. Somewhere close to snowdon (as we were to climb on one of the days, only 20 minutes away)
Quiet, beautiful location, lovely village 1 mile away with plenty of cheap restaurants/pubs etc
The house had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy!
Everywhere was lovely and clean and well looked after, especially the garden, with so many lovely flowers and an amazing view to wake up to in the morning.
Geoffrey and Wendy welcomed us and gave us some great advice on where to eat, climbing snowdon and seeing waterfalls and local places of interest.
We'd highly recommend a stay here if your planning a trip to wales.
Very thankful we were able to have a short booking as we only had 4 days to spare.
Thanks so much for letting us stay in your lovely home.
Dear Nikki, Jack and Tristan,
Thank you for your really nice Review. We were very pleased to be able to accommodate you and we are happy that you liked our comfy beds!
Sorry the driveway was a bit rough for your very unusual cars - we are going to get it tarmaced again very soon. We won't forget you and your out-of-this-world cars for a very long time!
If you visit North Wales another time we hope that you will come to stay again - with your cars!
Geoffrey and Wendy
My husband and I were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our anniversary and after extensive research, we decided upon the Country Garden House. We were delighted with our choice - the views from the house and gardens are absolutely stunning. There are countless places to sit and enjoy the views in the glorious and extremely well-kept gardens. The house itself has everything you need (plus more) and you will receive an inventory prior to your stay to enable you to decide what you do NOT need to bring! Your hosts Wendy and Geoff are incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. There are many folders listing local walks and bike rides as well as local attractions - these are all very detailed and we enjoyed following a few of the maps to seek out local places. The location of the house is also excellent - you can walk into the delightful Betws y Coed and there are many other attractions in walking distance. We only used our car once - to visit Portmeirion for a meal. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Dear Francine and Philip,
Your kind review has drawn to my attention that I have failed to respond to several reviews. My only excuse is that we have been very busy gardening every day and I have not spotted your reviews. Unfortunately, Trip Advisor is no longer notifying us of reviews so we are in the dark unless a guest actually advises us by email. So, sorry EVERYONE and THANK YOU ALL, including; Gill Di and Dot, Geetali, Russell, Lucy, James and Daniel, for such generous reviews!
We love to read your reviews and to hear from you, whether good or bad, as it makes providing accommodation all the more worthwhile.
Wendy is very keen to ensure that the accommodation is "complete" so we are pleased to learn that nobody has yet been lacking for anything - other than superspeed WiFi.
The Wi-Fi ! Yes, we are sorry about our weak Wi-Fi. We just don't seem able to get the new Wi-Fi extenders to work properly. Maybe hard-wiring would be the answer? Help! - somebody, perhaps our next guest?
We do understand your need for Wi-Fi, if only to daily make your holiday plans while you are staying here. The signal is particularly weak for smaller gadgets - guests have less trouble with big laptop computers. The signal is OK near to the guests' television and very good in our kitchen. It's also very good out in the garden by the pond, and on the flat roof terrace. (Best on a sunny day!)
However, guests are very welcome to come in and hook up to our system, or use our (powerful) desk-top computer.
Our best mobile telephone signal is O2. Most others work once you are away from the nearby mountains. Guests can use our BT Landline.
We are happy to live with such limitations as our rural idyll more than compensates for such shortcomings.
Switch off your mobile telephone and relax!
On the plus side, we do have very nice fresh water - so don't buy it bottled.
Not everyone uses the guides, maps and route-cards that we have prepared but I do recommend them as they are packed with useful information drawing on our extensive local knowledge. Our Top Ten Favourite Walks is a really good read.
Snowdonia is more than 800 square miles (over half a million acres). It is blessed with thousands of acres of "Open Access" countryside and miles of Public Footpaths, Bridleways, Miners' Tracks, Green Lanes, Drovers' Roads, Roman Roads and, even, very ancient trackways; you could enjoy a different walk every day for a year and not use the same path twice.
Thank you once again for all your reviews,
Sincerely, Geoffrey and Wendy
