“Delightful”
Reviewed 25 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Had a lovely few days in this pretty riverside setting. Pat gave us a warm welcome. Accommodation looks directly over the river. Use of garden. Bottle of wine, biscuits milk, tea, coffee waiting for us. Comfy bed. Only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the centre. Lovely walks, nice shops and eating places. Magnificent mountain scenery.

“Lovely place”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We received a very warm welcome. The place was very cosy and clean. We had access to the garden, next to the river. It offered all we needed for that weekend. It was a great pleasure to meet the landlady. If we come back to Wales, probably for a cycling weekend, we'll stop by again.

“Lovely little cottage”
Reviewed 11 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Glascoed is a perfect little cottage in beautiful surroundings. Pat the owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful and there were lots of special little touches such as bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival and treats for our dog. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need even things like kitchen towel, tinfoil, clingfilm, food bags etc. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of nice walks. There are a few pubs and restaurants in the village however we struggled to find somewhere serving food after 5pm so had takeaway pizza two nights on the run! If you are looking for somewhere just to relax in beautiful surroundings this is the perfect place.

“A beautiful little holiday bungalow”

We recently spent our honeymoon in this delightful cottage for exploring Snowdonia. we booked a week here and upon arrival the owner was there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. There was a bottle of wine, chocolates, milk for a cuppa and even dog treats and bowls for our dog, a lovely surprise. There was also basic items in the kitchen and bathroom, for example washing up liquid some sauces and teabags etc also shampoo and soap in shower room, in fact everything that we could possibly need. Brilliant. There wasn't a washer but Pat did offer to do our washing for us, very kind we thought! The bedroom and shower room looked out onto the river, bed was very comfy. Kitchen was very spacious for a small bungalow and was very clean in fact all rooms are very well maintained and clean, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back another time. Thanks again for a lovely week. Linda and Derek Dale and Laika :) xxx

“Ideal for summer stays.”

Despite arriving at 12:40am we were still greeted by our wonderful host who came out to greet us & ensure we had everything we needed. The cottage is very sweet & the addition of a bottle of wine (we were even a asked which we preferred) chocolates, fresh flowers & chews for our dog were much-appreciated and very kind gestures. The cottage was extremely.clean, pretty & ideal for a couple with a dog. The shared garden backed on to a river which was a very beautiful & peaceful aspect. We realised the cottage had no central heating but had heaters instead, which made it difficult to warm the cottage up (we visited in October) & to dry our clothes after a rainy walk & towels after a shower, especially as the heaters cannot be covered. When we ended up running out of electricity (probably due to the use of heaters for a couple of hours in the evening) we learned that the electric runs on a meter that we needed to top up ourselves, which was unusual. Something else to bear in mind is that the shower was very weak (though lovely & hot) which again after a long, wet & cold day was a bit inconvenient. The final recommendation I would add is that the cottage has irs own WiFi installed - although advertised as having WiFi, it actually uses that of the owner's house next door & therefore the connection was very weak. Some people may not use WiFi at all but we often find we need to to find out about travel, local activities & places to eat. There are ma y leaflets available with this kind of info but only 1 for a restaurant. Therefore we did enjoy our stay, our hosts couldn't have been kinder, & the bed is the best we have ever slept in. I would recommend it to others, but only for spring/summer use as for autumn/winter it is difficult to get warm & dry.
