“Lovely stay again!”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Last week we had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Tryfan Cottage at Red Dragon Holidays.
To start with the cottage is ideally situated, close to many great walks, we only had to take the car out a couple of times on the whole holiday. Most of the time we found the walks we wanted to do started from the doorstep. The area is really quite beautiful so are the grounds of the cottage. Parking was always easy, either on road or driveway.
The cottage was very cosy, we loved the old worldy feel. The fire and slate floor in bedroom were very nice. The lounge is a very big size with plenty of room. Kitchen is small but had everything we needed, (apart from tin opener which we couldn't find), we did cook alot of meals there and it was perfectly adequate. Bed was comfy and bathroom clean. Basically had everything we needed as a base for our holiday. The wine, bread and milk is a nice touch for when you arrive.
I would recommend Caffi Gwynant which is just around the corner. The food was amazing, we went twice during our stay. Pizza place and ice cream parlour in beddgelert are also worth a visit.
Claire the owner has always been very helpful over all our stays. The staff are also very kind and a real asset to the place.
We had a great time and will most definitely return again soon.

“Acceptable for the price”
Reviewed 2 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The cottage was clean and the owners helpful. Unfortunately the mattress was very poor quality with the springs making it very uncomfortable so if you have a mattress protector I would take one with you. Also the sky light meant you were woken up at 4 by the sun every morning. the Internet was frustrating temperamental but the owners were efficient at fixing this when asked.
The kitchen is very small but acceptable, I would bring my own pans if I visited again.

“a few little niggles but a great location”

Tryfan cottage is simple and quite small but in a great location close to the foot of Snowdon and three miles from the charming village of Beddgelet.

There is no mobile coverage at all. The internet was down during our stay. There is one very nice cafe very close by. There is good dog walking and wild mountain goats in the garden.
