We were a group of six, Really felt at home here, Colleen the owner is very nice and easy going so we were made very welcome. Cosy dining room with an excellent full breakfast cooked by Colleen. Recommended great places to eat for us as well. Would recommend it as a good base for the area

Room Tip: Room at the front, overlooking the river room 2

In other circumstances, I might have had some qualms arriving here. The (single non-ensuite) room I was in was the most basic of those on offer and the furnishings in it had... well, let's say... a certain period charm!

But I immediately fell in love with the place, mostly thanks to Colleen, who was a truly wonderful host: generous, patient, helpful, welcoming, and able to cook an *exceedingly* good breakfast!

It's also in a marvellous location, right by the bridge in the middle of the village, with everything in easy reach. (I particularly recommend the Hebog cafe/restaurant just about three doors down.) And my room, despite the comments above, was very good value for money, with a great view right over the river. For three nights, I fell asleep and woke to the happy sound of bubbling water. And rain, of course. But fixing the weather was the only thing Colleen didn't manage to do to make my stay more enjoyable!

Really enjoyed my time here, and hope to come back, with my other half, one day in the future.

Having arrived in Beddgelert loaded up with camping gear for a prebooked stay in the forest campsite up the road we were somewhat defeated by the weather. Absolute monsoon season. A door knocking excercise led us to the Colwyn B&b.
Coleen saved our weekend as having travelled 7 hours to get there we nearly turned round and went home. What a star Coleen was, not only did she take pity on us we also had a huge Newfoundland dog to accommodate. No problem to Coleen as she informed us that she had a previous guest who had two.
Room was on the top floor up some narrow steep stairs, but that was fine as this is a traditional Welsh cottage, tall people mind your heads.
The room we had was on the top floor, very clean and tidy and overlooked the bridge and the river. Lovely to hear the sound of the water as you lay down for the night. Ensuite was on the small side, but then I'm a big feller, there was a bigger bathroom next door.
Breakfast was a delight and we couldn't but help have the full English every morning. It was lovely and set us up for the day. Coleen was a delightful host, and even allowed our big drooly beast in the breakfast room.
Thank you so much Coleen, you rescued our weekend, we visit beddgelert quite often and we would without doubt stay here again.

Stayed here for 5 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend. Colleen was wonderful and even gave us a bottle of Prosecco when she found out it was our anniversary. Stayed in Room 2 overlooking the river. Loads of wonderful walks for us and the dog and lots of water too. Room made up every day and sheets changed on 2nd or 3rd night which was fab except our dog then proceeded to jump on the lovely clean white sheets. I apologised for this but it was not a problem for Colleen and she was absolutely fine about it. Breakfast was brilliant and set you up for the day. Two dog friendly pubs where you could take your Dog in though one was not doing food whilst we were there. However on a nice evening there were places where you could sit outside to eat. I would recommend Colwyn for anyone who likes walking and has a dog. Spot on. Also only about 1/2 an hour to the beach.

Room Tip: Room 2 is the Best Room
