“Fantastic views with this comfy cottage”
Reviewed 12 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

I stayed in this comfy cottage between Xmas and New Year with my husband and two teenage daughters. A very nice and clean cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. It has three good sized bedrooms, all with fantastic views over the river Dee. It was breathtaking to wake on New Year's Eve to a glistening landscape, icy river and the dearest steam train making its way up the Llangollen mountainside. We were visiting friends for New Year and wanting to do some relatively relaxed walking over Xmas, which was easily achieved. There are three pubs nearby - all serving reasonably decent food and Llangollen has a few decent eating places too, although the village may have seen better times. There's a lot to do in this area though. With water sports, plenty of visitor attractions with the Aqueduct etc...the steam train and plenty of walking. Highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem.

Hi Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are so pleased that the cottage suited you purpose. We agree that the town is a little 'tired' but nonetheless quite pretty. Also thank you for leaving our cottage so clean and you are welcome back any time best wishes Marge

“Bloom Cottage at Christmas”
Reviewed 31 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Loved the welcoming Christmas tree, fairy lights and bottle of bubbles in the fridge.

Beautiful views from all the windows, and especially enjoyed seeing the Llangollen steam train go by.

Comfy living room with log burner, perfect for this time of year.

Lovely walks on our doorsteps and easy walks to nearby hotels. Crossing the river to the Chain Bridge Hotel on the newly renovated chain bridge was magical at night time.

We had everything we needed, and would be happy to recommend this cottage at any time of the year.

What an amazing find. A clean cosy cottage.
We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights and we loved every minute of our stay.
The cottage was well equipped, everything you need was provided.
Wifi, the smart TV, Netflix and Nowtv was greatly appreciated.
The open fire and the wood burner kept the cottage nice and cosy( we only used the wood burner).
A very comfy bed made us lazy!
The views from around the cottage are truly amazing. We really did not want to come home.
Marge the owner was very accommodating which made the booking process go through smoothly( I swapped and changed dates a couple of times).
We will certainly be going back very soon.

“Spacious, well appointed and cosy in the perfect spot!”
Reviewed 3 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

I rented Bloom Cottage with some friends for a New Year's getaway. Seven of us in the end went and Bloom Cottage accommodated us easily. Bloom Cottage overlooks the Dee Valley and the Llangollen railway at Berwyn station and the views, atmosphere and layout are intoxicating. It's just breathtaking.
All mod cons are provided. The wi-fi is faster than that I get at home in Manchester, and there's no stingey hot water tank or anything (seven people having two showers a day and no one went cold!) The heating's on timer, but once the fire's going in the lounge you don't really need it and we'd turned the radiators off!
We were really lucky to get Bloom Cottage (Marg and Bob had had a cancellation when we applied to book!) and we're so glad we did.
See you in the summer I think guys!

“Time for relaxation and happiness!”
Reviewed 28 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I had traveled from Australia to catch up with family and friends. Previous trips to the uk always involved running myself ragged trying to keep up, so a very good friend arranged this cottage for me to stay and use as a base.
It was the best thing ever she could have done for me!
The cottage was in a beautiful setting with outstanding views (good for my photography).
Away from the town enough to feel close to nature, but also a beautiful walk into the town via the chain bridge and canals.
Llangollen itself has something to suit everyone, long scenic walks, shops for everything, great places to eat, rafting, kayaking for the adrenaline junkies, also close to many other local attractions.
The cottage was quaint, comfortable and cosy with plenty of room. Beds comfortable and clean. well equipped all round.
I can't think of better place to spend quality time with my friends and family. Including the family hound who enjoyed his holiday immensely.
By the time I left, I felt relaxed, happy and refreshed.

Well done!
