Really enjoyed our stay at Aberconwy Cottage. House was nice and neat when we arrived and all the rooms were very nice. Big dining room and kitchen on the first floor and that's where we were to be found when we were there. There was a medieval fair going on when we arrived with costumed people and jousting! Lots of things to see and do around Conwy even if the weather doesn't cooperate, Short walk to town center and there is a brilliant butchers there (little pricey) but the goods were very tasty. Nice little pub on the water is only about 10 minute walk. Only complaint would be that there is no access to the back garden. We had a 4 year old grandson and it would have been a nice place for him to run around in safety and the recycling scheme in Wales takes some getting used to....even leftover food has a special bin. All of the UK should adopt this level of recycling.
Highly recommend Aberconwy Cottage and would definitely rent this property again!

“Great views from the dining room. Lovely to sit at the table and see Conwy below.”
Reviewed 11 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Would give a score of 4 and a half if possible. We stayed all 10 of us for the half term holiday week. Directions to the house were easy to follow and plenty of parking on the drive or outside. Although the layout of the house was unusual it worked really well for us. We didn't use the sitting room a lot as we tended to sit around the table in the dining room eating, drinking and planning the following days excursions. However when we did use the sitting room there was enough seats for everyone. Kitchen well equipped and what a boon the dishwasher was. One toilet sear was broken when we arrived and the following day the door knob on one of the bedrooms proved faulty. We contacted Ian who arranged for someone to come out and do the repairs. No problem at all. We would suggest perhaps some thin cushions on the dining room chairs as they can be uncomfortable. Lots to do in the surrounding area and plenty of places to eat in Conwy if you get tired of cooking. We always walked to and from Conwy if we weren't going any further afield and although it is a steep hill we managed fine. (Ages ranged from 9 to 68). Bond returned by the end of the first week back. A great weeks holiday and a lovely house!!
