We had a very pleasant stay at this B&B. The location is very good and Caernarfon is relatively compact. The room was tidy, with a comfortable bed and hot shower. The breakfast was very good and owners helpful. There is a nearby Morrisons and other shops. Lots of pubs/places to eat.

Some of the other guests were a bit noisy but that was no fault of the owners. The only main issue we had (and this must apply to other accommodation) is that parking can be hit-and-miss. There is a free small car park on the harbour, and there are pay car parks although we managed to find some street parking.

Apart from that our stay was very enjoyable and if we return to Caernarfon I would definitely return to this B&B. This place makes a goods base for visiting Snowdon.

Room Tip: Not sure as our room overlooked the street.

We started off staying here when we walked the Llyn Peninsula. We arrived at about 5pm and were greeted by a cup of tea and cake (all complimentary). Once we had go changed and we’re heading out for tea we informed the staff that we wanted breakfast a little earlier than 8am and they prepared a fantastic buffet breakfast and placed it in our room for the morning. Overall, it is fantastic value for money and we would both highly recommend staying here.

Excellent accommodation in excellent location within the Caernarfon walls, just a minute walk from the castle. Beautifully decorated rooms, really clean and with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk, refrigerated water, chocolate bars and toiletries. Free hot drinks and cakes provided in comfortable communal lounge in afternoon. Beautiful breakfast - with good range on the menu. Really enjoyed our stay!

The owners Karen and Mark were amazing hosts! We managed to reserve the newly refurbished, top floor sea view, double room with ensuite. It was well decorated keeping the traditional features but with a modern twist.

The ensuite has a large shower cubicle with a powerfull shower. The hosts also supplied the bathroom with shower gel and shampoo, cotton buds and face wipes. Little touches that really make a difference.

The room was very bright as the window is massive allowing you to have a perfect view of the water. There was a dresser which had a kettle, tea, coffee and galaxy hot chocolate with a small selection of biscuits - all of very good quality.

The bed was super comfortable! The pillows were so good that I meant to ask them where they bought them. (I'll need to text and ask after this review!)

Karen & Mark set out complimentary tea, coffee and a cake/snack for their guests between 2-5pm every day and Karen made homemade scones which were delicious! This is very sweet and it really does add to the excellent customer service they already provide. Breakfast was between 8-9.30am and it was cooked to perfection! The portion sizes were very generous and the quality of the food was excellent, setting us up for the day ahead. They also offer various options for specific dietary requirements too.

We also had a little last minute issue with our bunny sitter and Karen and Mark were very understanding and even though they are a no pet b&b on this occasion they allowed us to bring Bella along on the conditions she wasn't left to rome around. We packed her cage and she had a lovely relaxing time too!

We would most definately use Cear Menai B&B again and will recommend to anyone we know visiting Caernarfon.

A massive thank you to Karen & Mark for making our trip to Wales so special.
