New to Worcester on a Monday so we dropped in early in the morning - what a lovely surprise ! Lots of information both free and more specialised stuff for sale and well informed staff (sadly able to tell us exactly what was open on Monday (not much!) but also how to make the most of our time.
Good selection of local produce too - we were wowed and very grateful to the team for recommendations
I have been in hundreds of tourist info centre in my life time of travel and I can safely say this is the best one yet for useful help, information, things to do the list was endless.
But the main thing was the staff who look after this info shop, her name was Michelle, she was a superb ambassador for Worcester and Worcestershire and the surrounding areas as well.
I could see that she loved her work and her role in helping people regarding their needs for information about Worcestershire.
Offering various leaflets and booklets regarding the various facets that make Worcestershire such an interesting place to visit and to relocate too as we are looking for a new home as we are moving soon from Gloucestershire and would like to retire somewhere vibrant, interesting and a good location for travel in and around the surrounding areas.
As she explained Worcestershire ticks all the boxes.
So well done Michelle and well done to the Tourist information office in Worcester for running a well organised and helpful facility.
Arrived early in the city and stumbled across the Tourist Information Centre. Decided to have a look to help plan our day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They suggested the guided walk, which we weren’t sure about but decided to do. We’re so glad we did as we had a fantastic guided tour, learnt so much, and it helped us to navigate our way around the city. We still had plenty of time left to explore Worcester on our own afterwards. So glad we spoke to the staff first.
The shop was bright and full of lovely souvenirs, information, books and maps.
Not a small ordinary information office. This is a largish old comfortable welcoming room in a historic building. The staff are lovely - friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful, and obviously enjoy opening up Worcester for visitors and residents alike. There are so many leaflets of places to visit and learn about again for both tourists and residents. Make it one of your first stop off points for a wealth of ideas !
I gleaned many tips here from the helpful and amusing staff. Lovely ladies. I left staggering out armed with brochures and maps!
Lovely city, but no public toilets around the town except bus station etc very poor would not revisit
