We stayed here 4 nights and as everything in Arundel is within walking distance, this was perfect for us, 5 minutes from the station, (we came by train) and 5 minutes to the centre of town and the castle gates. We struck a wet weekend but the castle visit took up all of one afternoon but it cleared up and we were able to visit the gardens after all. Well worth it. On another wet afternoon we took the train to Chichester, only 15 minutes away and plenty to do there as well, beautiful Cathedral and community run movie theatre and a walk around the city walls in between showers. Lots of independent shops as well.
Jo made us very welcome and we would definitely go back to this delightful apartment. Arundel must be a pretty place in all seasons and I would love to return at Christmas for the Festival of Lights. Very good food in all the restaurants, so we only self catered one meal and the Black Rabbit was well worth the out of town walk to get to it. The wetland centre is on our list for our next visit.
