We stayed here for the weekend in September with some good friends and their child. The property had everything we could ask for and more. The family room was perfect for our friends and their child and there were children's toys and books perfect for a two year old.
The kitchen had all the facilities we needed and the shop was a quick walk across the road for anything else. We also had a great takeaway from the Chinese in town one night when we were too lazy to cook!
The castle and nearby attractions were great - we headed over to Amberley Museum and heritage centre which seemed to have loads on.
We would recommend this property, the hosts were really welcoming and we loved our weekend in Arundel.
Right in the heart of Arundel and yet secluded and totally peaceful, this cottage is a short walk from all the attractions of Arundel, including the castle with its wonderful gardens. The cottage itself is beautifully set up to the highest spec and the owners are open-hearted and friendly. We had a delightful four-night break which was booked as a birthday treat for my elderly mother; so much easier and more flexible than bed and breakfast. During our stay we visited the Weald and Downland open air museum, which is well worth the drive, as well as the wetland centre in Arundel and the front at Littlehampton, where there is plenty going on to sit and watch even if one is not able to be very active. We really couldn't have picked anywhere better to stay.
This property has all of the conveniences that I consider important, with a family holiday in mind. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and outside the enclosed courtyard is easily visible. We were able to walk to Arundel Castle, also with beautiful surrounding countryside trails and the cottage is only steps away from the local swimming pool. Centrally located in Arundel, I also made use of a recommended babysitter and walked down the street to quite a number of restaurants etc. This accommodation is finished to a high standard and is obviously just as suitable for visitors without children, due to its proximity. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
