It’s many years since I’ve been to a top drawer restaurant with a carpeted floor. A throwback to the restaurants of yesteryear - a “lounge” restaurant. Provincial! Apart from that it was very on trend. With top class food and service. Loved the mackerel starter with crab and wasabi. The scallop intercourse was good - maybe the scallop was too big but the dashi was fab. Then hogget for main - it didn’t disappoint. Rare loin on the bone with pulled shoulder as a complement. Puds were great too. The service was very attentive and professional. Not cheap but this quality is worth it. A class act.
