Visited on Thursday 5th April. Excellent to see a National Trust property aimed at working class history. Super tour by guide Jeff a local with a real passion for the place. You can only visit by going on the tour but it was a good format as the properties are too small with steep staircases for everyone to go around independently. 1930’s house reminded me of my Grandparent’s home. Excellent.

We visited on Good Friday, myself & husband and our 8 year old daughter. Jeff was an excellent tour guide. Very easy to phone & book. A visit to the sweet shop at the end is an absolute must!!

Lovely place to visit in Birmingham. The houses make you feel very nostalgic and think back to when you were a child.

We booked a tour of the back to backs and it was really excellent. The guide was lively and informative and really knew her stuff. These are the only back to backs left in Birmingham, a city where 60 years ago half the population lived in them. Time moves on as you travel through the various houses and the guide tells you the stories of the people who lived in each house.

I took my family and Brother-in-Law for a visit to the Birmingham Back to Backs on Saturday 31st March whilst we were meeting for a day out in Birmingham and it was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. My 9 and 11 year old boys were included from the start by our Guide Jean, who gave us a delightful mix of plentiful historic information on the Back to Backs, relevant personal family detail and an appropriate level of humour which made our tour time whizz by. The free exhibition upstairs (above the entrance) was interesting and helped us set the scene before our tour started.
We all thought is was very good value for money and would heartily recommend booking a tour to anyone who hasn't been before, whether they are local or visitors to Birmingham.
