I didn't even know this place existed yet we live less than a mile away , was recommended by a friend who had her 50th Birthday here a few weeks back. We arrived and had not pre booked oops my bad ! we was greeted by a really nice man who explained he had no tables ready but if we was to wait for 20 minuets he would get us a table ( I really wanted a booth but it was reserved) so we was directed to the bar. We ordered some drinks and then i noticed cocktails wow porn star martini my fav and I wasn't disappointed. After half an hour wait we was shown to our table and given menus was quite surprised to see a smoker menu and also a spicy menu , great for us as my other half loves ribs and meat and I prefer Indian food , was a bit confused at first but our waitress explained all to us. My other half ordered Full Rack of Ribs with a bourbon sauce and I ordered a sizzling Indian platter it was so nice but I have to say I did have food envy and really liked the look of the ribs of which my other half had no trouble in consuming them at a rapid pace , we ordered desserts have to recommend peanut butter chocolate slice not so much the new York cheesecake it was a bit sloppy I thought and yes another few cocktails bill came it was fairly reasonable but I didn't really care as I wasn't paying hubby was ! as the vibe and decor was so cool we decided to stay in the bar and have a few more drinks , we had a great night at smokeys cant wait to go back

Just got back from there. The carpark was full due to a party upstairs and large group downstairs, so we had to park on the road. Heard mixed reviews before we went, so wasn't too sure, but we had a good night there. My husband sent his steak back because he had asked for well done and it was cremated, but the second attempt was better. I had the pulled pork and it was tasty. There a few veggie dishes so my brother was happy. The staff are young, but helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is reasonably priced. Very typical American smoke house. I would go again, mainly because its local.

This place has had a great refurbishment.

The food how ever, the sole purpose of me and my partner comming here... Is disgusting.

For starters we had nachos, we didn't ask for pulled pork, however it got put on.there anyway. After I had my first bite of it, it was terrible so fatty and the texture was terrible. The guacamole is out of a processed squeeze bottle.

The mains we had a burger and half rack of ribs. The burger was so dry and over cooked, the chips on both where oozing with grease, the ribs where overcooked and so dry and completely bland. Zero flavor the "gritz" (mix of beans in BBQ sauce) weren't too bad however barely palatable.

I will not be attending this place again for food. I will not recommended this place ever for food.

One thing I will say on a positive note, the waitress and manager where very polite and had great customer service skills.

We did have 70% knocked off the bill, I do not usually complain about food however this was completely unacceptable and we ate a bite out of each to try and was not happy with any of the food.

Me and my wife were looking forward to the opening of this smoke house. We had heard some bad reviews on it, however we decided we would try it for ourselves. We wish we had listened!
The decor was lovely and very well presented, looking clean and really set the scene. We were shown to our table and given some menus to have a look at. To be honest the menu’s were a massive rip off of TGIs and Hungry Horse! Especially the layout. We ordered Volcano Nachos to share, which I really enjoyed however the wife’s first bite was a fatty bit of pulled pork, which we didn’t even ask for, so that put her off straight away. However we ate most of them as we were starving.
Our food then came and it was terrible, I ordered a burger and only ate the top part of the bun, the burger was so bad it tasted like the cheap beef burgers, something you don’t expect in a smoke house! The chips were bland and the idea of a coleslaw was chopped raw white onion and two slices of gherkins on the top? The burger and the chips were extremely greasy and I just couldn’t eat it. My wife had the half a rack of ribs and they were so bland, and really chewy, her chips were greasy too.
I honestly would have been happier with McDonald’s!
We managed to get 70% off the bill which was good l, but when the manager told the chef, the chef seemed in disbelief and kept shaking his head. I absolutely hate complaining and tried to be as nice but assertive as possible. We were offered many other choices by the manager to compensate but we didn’t want to risk it.
Overall the food did not live up to the menu that described great ‘sounding’ food.
I think some more training needs to be done with the Chefs to understand how to cook that type of food!
I think the trip we had has set the bar for us really and I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon!
