Three of us visited recently using groupon vouchers. Nice food but we did wonder if being on groupon made it a lesser experience - we think one of the 6 courses was bread and butter and all courses were petit; aware courses were going to be small, but these were smaller even than would have expected.

Also think the courses were moved through pretty quickly. We were done after 75 minutes. Service excellent but beer selection poor. Liked but sadly wasn't blown away, might do again paying non-discounted price, but £69 full price feels a bit expensive. Would say £50-55 would be fairer price rate.

I would be lying if I said it was cheap - however I hope to able to return to try lunch menu. I had a ' taster trial/menu' and I was very impressed with the courses even though small portions by comparison. Each 'taster' was very pleasant and more than sufficient when you finished them all. Needless to say the staff were knowledgable and very very good and well presented. I would think that getting a table at lunch time would be far easier than dinner so if you intend to go I suggest re booking. Not the easiest place to find but I am pleased I did.

We have eaten here several times in the past and have always been impressed, but were underwhelmed this time. Service was friendly, presentation was pleasing, but the food just wasn't that memorable. The pigeon starter was good, the scallop good [excellent smoked eel - outshone the scallop!], the sirloin was good, the monkfish was good and the tarte tatin was good [perhaps an imbalance in that the portion was huge and the amount of apple seriously outweighed the pastry] , but our expectations were for something better than merely good.
We have always felt that Edmunds offers excellent food and a memorable experience, but those little touches were also missing - no amuse bouche, no sorbet; the petit fours were also no better than OK. With a couple of glasses of wine the bill for lunch soon reaches three figures and, on this occasion, I didn't feel that was justified.
