“First class”

Ive not stayed in many bed and breakfasts, but if they are all of this standard, Holiday Inn would be out of business.

The place is tastefully decorated, spotless and fresh.

The hosts are perfect examples of their kind friendly and proffessional.

I thought they had mistaken me for a hotel inspector as they were so good. Especially when I walked into the breakfast room and was greeted by name by the Landlord who I have never met.

Its about a 15 minute walk into town and there are plenty of parking spaces, a real bonus in Stratford.

My wife and I booked a night's stay at this B&B at the last minute. Most other B&Bs in Stratford-Upon-Avon insist on a minimum of two nights so we were pleased we managed to secure a room close to town for just the Saturday night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit slightly small and the house itself is about a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre. However, don't let this put you off. What makes First Night so special are its owners, Tina and Gary. Nothing is too much trouble for these very, friendly, helpful hosts. From picking you up from the station to dropping you into town, Tiny and Gary couldn't have been more charming. They even gave us a new toothbrush when we discovered we hadn't packed ours! Lastly, make sure you leave enough time during your stay for the wonderful breakfasts at First Night: freshly cooked full-English which was mainly grilled (wonderful) as well as fresh juices, excellent cereals, porridge, toast and fruit. You can have a combination of the above or everything (an option my wife chose). Even the cutlery and crockery in the dining room is worth mentioning. We had an extremely enjoyable stay at First Night and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to other travellers. Give it a try.

We stayed here over the weekend and were impressed with the accomodation which was a separate room and en-suite building with a garden terrace which was nice as we could come and go as we pleased without feeling we were disturbing anyone. Tina and Gary were very friendly and helpful without being too over bearing. The breakfast was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.

We were made very welcome at First Night and could not have asked for more considerate hosts. Our room in the adjoining annexe was tastefully furnished, very private and quiet, with patio doors leading onto a sitting area in the rear garden. We were treated to a first class breakfast in a very attractive dining room.

Parking was provided and the centre of Stratford is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, (the railway station is midway between the town centre and First Night). This was an ideal arrangement for us as the Bank Holiday weekend traffic was jamming up the centre of town and by staying slightly outside the centre we avoided wasting time queuing in traffic and also avoided the problems of finding parking in the town centre. We recommend First Night as a convenient and comfortable B & B for your stay in Stratford.

We stayed at First Night B&B for a couple of nights whilst doing some sightseeing locally. The rooms are private and detached from the main property. The Breakfasts were very good and the hosts very friendly and helpful. If I had to be critical, the bed wasn't very comfortable, but quite acceptable.
