My visit with partner and friends last weekend to the Macbeth cottage was fantastic. The cottage was beautiful and very homely. The Hot tub was amazing and the local pub was great which was only a short walk. For the age of the property the heating was great and didn't feel the cold at all. The only bad bits was it does get noisy because of the road but don't let that put you off because you soon forget it's there and plus it's not the owners fault the roads noisy. I do think the shower needs updating though because it's very temperamental, Other than that it's been an amazing experience and I would definitely stay there again because it's only a short drive to Stratford upon Avon which is where we spent most of our weekend.
The service was great any questions I needed to know they were answered within minutes
Property was nice beds were comfy and hot tub was great and topped the stay, sofas were a little on the uncomfortable side.
Short drive to Stratford itself but not to far away
Overall Great weekend away and will be revisiting in the future
We travelled as a family and had a great time exploring the attractions that beautiful Stratford upon Avon has to offer. We chose the cottage because it is close to the town centre, appeared a quaint home and the hot tub added to its appeal.
However, the cottage is on a main road ( we knew this) but an extremely busy and noisy one. So, do not expect to wake up to the sound of birds singing but to lorries and cars thundering by. The 'luxury' hot was very strong smelling which made our eyes sting and was a terrible experience. We used it once for about five minutes.
The cottage was clean and cosy upstairs but the two sofas in the lounge were a source of amusement to begin with ( it is as if you are sitting on the floor and it looks ridiculous). However, when as a family you want to relax on a comfortable sofa in the evening;forget it! If you want punishment and a bad back, then try the challenge of watching the television for more than 30 minutes!
The photos of the cottage show the shower but why? It is slow and certainly not a power shower. Also, the water comes out lukewarm. Furthermore, we understand that this is a self catering property, so one should not expect little luxuries but one does! For example, please leave fresh milk rather than the smallest longlife carton in the fridge. Why give your guests Tesco value hand wash? I would not even buy this myself and when I am paying in excess of £100 per night, I expect better.

On arrival at the advertised "luxury self catering property" we were hugely disappointed. The property is right on a major road with noise from fast moving cars, lorries and motorbikes all day and night. The back garden is not fenced off from the front of the property which meant we couldn't leave the children in the garden to play. The hot tub was old and the majority of jets weren't working. The chemicals were so strong they made our eyes sting within minutes. The sofas in the lounge were extremely uncomfortable, one had no legs and was just a mattress on the floor. The kitchen utensils and pots etc were dirty and needed cleaning before use and the non stick coating on the frying pan was damaged. We were unsure how the photograph on the website showing a beautiful view was taken as the only way to see it from the property would be by standing on a ladder in the garden.
It is close to Stratford and there are some nice pubs within walking distance if you don't mind walking on a main road.
