We stayed at the Penryn Guest House for 2 nights in June and couldn't fault anything about our stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful and it is obvious they take a lot of pride in their work. We took our two dogs with us and were put in an annexe at the rear of the hotel which was perfect. The breakfast is lovely and freshly cooked, the rooms have everything you could want - with some really thoughtful touches and the location is great - bit of a walk into the town centre, but it's a pleasant walk - weather permitting! Will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Ask for the annexe if you're taking pets

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your comments. We are happy to know you've enjoyed staying in the annexe - we believe it is very convenient for the guests with pets.
We would love to see you again. Have a lovely summer. Best regards, Elena & Dan

We chose Penryn for our 3 night stay in Stratford due primarily to its good ratings, but also because it had ground floor accommodation and Bob has difficulty with stairs (waiting for knee replacement op).

Located just past the railway station. The room was spotless, as was the entrance hall and breakfast room. Just about enough parking - side street available as well - and close to a bus stop into town - Stratford an awful place to park.

Good plentiful breakfast, good shower and bathroom 'bits' and plenty of tea/coffee etc. Very reasonably priced too.

Pleasant helpful owners, both during the booking process and at the property.

Note. As stated on website and in correspondence they do charge for payment by card.

Would definitely recommend.

I stayed recently for 3 days mid week.

I drove to and from but after a few days noticed that if your heart was really in it you could definitely walk into the centre of town if you were so minded.

I was on a trip for work and really appreciated the wifi.

The staff are super nice and work really hard to make everyone have a great stay.

The décor is a bit old and needs updating but if that doesn't bother you - you will be in for a comfy stay. I was pleased to have a roomy double bed and a great shower despite being at the top of the building!

Breakfast was really tasty. There is self service fruit and toast and table service for hot breakfasts and drinks.

There is a limited amount of parking on site.

Room Tip: I was in room 6 - great shower & roomy bathroom

Stayed 3 nights. Location was good, 10 min walk from train station, 15 min from town. My room was a small single in the attic on the 3rd floor - it was clean and had an ensuite bathroom, which was great. Breakfasts are to order, good selection - you can have a full English breakfast if you want. Hosts semed very friendly. However, there were a few issues for me. As it is an older home, the soundproofing isn't up to modern standards, so I could clearly hear my neighbour's tv. Also, the road outside my window was the main road through town, with quite heavy traffic not blocked all that well by the window. Plus I ended up having to leave my window open all night to try to reduce the very strong odour of plug in "air fresheners" in use throughout the house (including, initially, in my room). If perfume and air fresheners are an issue for you, you should probably stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back are quieter

Hello
And thank you for your review. I strongly disagree with you about the use of fresheners. I understand and respect that some guests might not like them, but in the same time there are guests who adored the smell and asked us immediately what fragrance is.
As you mentioned, they are plug in air fresheners so it only takes to unplug them to stop them function. In less than 30min, there is no sign of their odour! I wish you could have at least discussed with us this simple issue.
Best regards, the team at Penryn.

Chose this B & B from the Stratford tourist guide. You are always a bit apprehensive when you book online but we were not disappointed. Arrived a little early but were welcomed warmly, given a choice of room and offered a hot drink.
Our twin room was roomy and had a good sized en suite. Everything was clean and well presented. The room was at the front and Alcester Road is a very busy road but neither of us noticed any road noise during the night.
Breakfast was very good although I didn't like the sausage but everything was well cooked. and the dining room was light and comfortable,
Staff were very welcoming and keen for us to enjoy our stay.

Room Tip: The front car park is easier to get in and out of
