Had a nice lunch here, after being drawn in by the choice of vegan items on the menu. I had a vegan breakfast (buttered toast, beans, loads of mushrooms, tomatoes, and some flavoursome potatoes), and a tasty and healthy breakfast smoothie. My partner had the 'ultimate' (beef) burger, which he said was good. He can be quite hard to please, so it must have been nice. It was a fair price, costing £22 in total, including an orange juice as well. Tap water is available for you too help yourself too which is a nice addition. Was a bit chilly in there, but there were blankets around for people to use.

Hi Kitty_Pickers

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review.

Fun fact Boston Tea Party was originally a vegan & vegetarian café so we've always kept that close to heart and offered a great selection across the menu including our cakes. If you're after a real treat check out the vegan coffee, walnut and cardamom cake, it's fantastic! (even if I do say so!)

As for the chilly room, we've had a new internal door fitted to block the draft out so it's nice a cosy now. Look forward to seeing you in soon!

Regards

Jack

The Boston Tea Party is situated in a Victorian school building at the far end of Henley St, just round the corner from where some tourists coaches drop off and pick up day-trip visitors to Stratford. The interior is plain but not unattractive, with wood panelling on two sides, furnished with simple tables and chairs and some arm chairs around low tables. An upholstered bench runs along the far wall. There is further seating upstairs and a small terrace, enclosed on three sides, faces south (to a car park). Orders are taken at the counter once you have a table number.

The menu offers a limited selection for breakfast, brunch and lunch, clearly labelled for different dietary requirements. There is the usual range of coffees and a good selection of teas. For those who like a glass of wine or beer with their lunch, about 10 different wines are offered, at least some by the glass (small or huge!), and some beers too. We were there for breakfast and both had the West Country Breakfast. This was fine, even if the scrambled eggs were a little on the rich side. There was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with a lot of the customers clearly being regulars.

Hi John_Oldcastle

Thank you for the incredibly throughout review I think the only thing that didn't get a mention was the kitchen sink! It's great to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere, if you have any preferences just let them know at the till we are more than happy to make your eggs sans cream next time.

We made a last minute decision to go here for breakfast and weren't disappointed. Wonderful food and a very bright, airy place. It can get very crowded on weekends, and service can be a bit slow (we waited 15 minutes for a milkshake!!) - nevertheless, the delicious food more than makes up for that. Lots of vegetarian options - we were spoilt for choice!

Interesting choices on the menu; several appealed as I get tired of the same old paninis, baked potato and bread based choices. Wasn't quite sure what to expect of the chorizo 'hash' but it was very tasty. Wasn't immediately apparent where the chorizo was but I found it!

Had a lovely breakfast here, they offer quite a lot of options for breakfast and brunch. The atmosphere is cozy, decor relaxed, the waiting staff very accommodating, the place offers a nice range of specialty coffee
Also, many customers had dogs with them inside the restaurant. People came and went, read their newspapers, talked with friends, etc. but there were at least two dogs at all times inside the place. They made the place feel even more friendly
