This was our second visit to The Cross and was even better than the first. We had the set lunch but chose desserts from the à la carte menu. Everything was top quality, creative cooking. The broad bean starter was one of the nicest starters I have ever had.The service was very efficient and friendly. Looking forward to our third visit!

Our visit was at lunchtime. The car park was good, the ambience excellent and the food and service good. Surprisingly the restaurant was quiet on Wednesday lunchtime.
The restaurant is owned by Simpsons of Birmingham so standards are high.

We had the tasting menu and wine tasting tonight. Service was sporadic, waited ages for a G&T but when it arrived it was amazing. Food was very good, best courses were the crispy duck egg and the duck. Wine was great and for a £160 per head in Kenilworth you’d expect that.

Service was good, the one waiter was spot on and told us he’s been there for 4 years and knew exactly what to do. The sommelier was a little intrusive but knew his stuff, just needs to respect that the guests may want his attention rather than trying to be the centre of attention.
Overall 4 stars, maybe 5 for the food but lost a point on service and price. Overall for a Michelin star I was expecting more....
