But, we are told is getting total re-vamp in Oct.2016.
We were not supposed to be in this hotel, but in their new city centre Inn (the Gate). Unfortunately when we arrived they were closing due to a gas mains leak right next door to the Inn. Staff manager there was Amanda who did a magnificent job in the freezing cold meeting us and others and providing taxis to alternative Inns.
Hence we arrived at Quayside. Great position on the waterfront.
Manager Patrick arranged a complimentary bottle of wine for our troubles, thanks Patrick.
Room was large but cold. Various heaters had been placed in room but were not entirely adequate. `Central heating` was iffy. Bed very comfortable.
Breakfast was as good as ever for P.Inns, buffet style and eat as much as you like.
Staff were great, but Wifi is very slow

Room Tip: Ask at reception.

The meal deal is great starter main or main and desert plus a pint and eat all you want breakfast for £23.99 is great value.car parking is in the basement, book in advance as there is only about 25 spaces but very sucured video cameras and electric gates. Would recommend this hotel highly

Can't think of a better place to spend the night for the bargain price of £39!
It's in a perfect location, beds are huge and very comfortable!
It's definitely a no frills hotel but what more could you want for the price! It's clean and the staff were great.

I was transferred the the Quayside PI after the PI The Gate was evacuated due to a gas leak. I was made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

I really liked that the teaset in the room had its own little shelf! The wheelchair friendly room is very big and I don't think the little electric heater really managed to fill it.

In terms of wheelchair access, the following should be noted

- many doors to the room, some pull and some push
- light cords are handily hung right down from the ceiling, as is the emergency cord in the bedroom making them easy to reach. Light switches are not universally controlled - the switch at the door will only control the nearest light.
- room is big and plenty of space - however you will need to get over a bed to close the curtains and the wardrobe is too high up
- in the spacious bathroom, there is no room to get a chair under the basin due to a vanity unit) and the toilet paper is too far away to reach
- breakfast area is reached via a secure door off reception, you will need to ask staff to let you in.
