Owner description: Our famous brewery tour is the perfect way to explore our beautiful brewhouse, discover our heritage and learn how we brew. Our brewhouse was built in 1938; featuring grand art deco windows, copper mash tuns and Italian marble surfaces. The tour lasts around an hour and a half and is made up of groups of no more than 12. Guests will be committing themselves to climbing over 100 stairs to the roof of our brewhouse for the best view of town. Guests will then return to the Beer Café to taste a selection of our beers. The Beer Café is open 10am-6pm Mon-Sat, with lunches served until 2:30pm. Tours run all week. Mon & Tues 2pm. Weds-Fri 11am & 2pm. Sat 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm & 3:30pm. Sun 11am. We cannot take guests with walking difficulties or who use walking aids. Footwear must be flat and fully enclosed.

Do the tour and buy the beer! A very interesting tour of this historic brewery and the opportunity to buy from their wide range of beers. A nice bar, too.

On the way to the theatre I spotted that the canteen was open to everyone - for £3.00 each my friend and I enjoyed the most amazing roast pork! Would certainly go again.

Don't forget your camera. You can snap some nice pictures of Bury from the roof of the Brewery. Lots of stair climbing is involved on the tour, so wear good walking shoes.

We were in Bury St. Edmunds one weekend and we had nothing planned. We visited the Brewery on a whim and we were surprised at how much fun we had on a weekend.

Before you go I would definitely look online to see the hours to ensure you get there on time. It was 9 pounds per person.

The actual tour takes about an hour but the best part is the very end. They let you ay as long as you'd like and drink as much as you want. You will truly enjoy the experience.
