We try and go out for a meal once a month or so and we have been working our way around the trip advisor top 20 - this place THE BEST so far so we will take a break for a while from the ‘top 20’ and come here a few times . The menu is great for me as loads of variety - I had the confit duck and it was absolutely gorgeous - other half had liver and onions and almost licked the plate clean. Really good sized portions - whoever their chef is can certainly cook! See you in July x

Just adding to how lovely this place is.
Food is so delicious and is consistent every time, something that’s very hard to achieve. The choice of ales is spectacular and the homemade pies are a treat!
Staff are really friendly and well presented and it’s a pleasure to spend time here

Taken here last week by friends who regularly use it - what a pleasant surprise - food with a choice and quality totally unexpected for a pub with a fairly ' low profile ' - well worth finding if you want great food at a very reasonable price - very pleasant and helpful Landlord ! - make the effort - it is well worth it !

Four adults, two children.
We had a choice of 2, 3 or 4 courses between us (with child portions available)
Turkey, Beef pie, Beef stew were our main choices with plentiful vegetables to accompany them, and Beef and Turkey gravy on the side.
Ice cream and Apple pie desserts to follow (other choices too!)
A great bitter beer by Fenton based Ran Ales was a perfect foil.
Great value, great food, great beer.
We're grateful to our friends (Amanda & James) for recommending The Masons Arms.

Looked this place up on Trip advisor, had dinner before going to Victoria Hall for a concert, and had a brilliant experience. Food and service were excellent. Portion sizes are on the large side and could not fault anything.

People in Stoke are so lucky to have such a place on their doorstep
