“Good stay in beautiful accommodation...”
Reviewed 6 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We have just returned from a weeks stay at 4 Silver Street and could not have asked for better accommodation. We went a week later than originally planned however Tom was prompt in response to all emails and proved helpful making booking straight forward. On arrival we were pleased with the house and the location. Although it feels central to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace it is close to open countryside and an easy exit of the city to wider afield in Somerset. The house had everything we needed for our stay and was more than adequate for the four of us; beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and sitting room was spacious. The welcome pack was helpful but should you need anything a supermarket is a stones throw away yet not within direct view, handy for warm early morning croissants. It was just a shame that it wasn't sunny enough to sit in the Court Yard garden....maybe next time!

Silver Street is a short stroll to the centre where you can find many good restaurants ( I would recommend Beah) and the Bishops Palace is worth a visit even on a rainy day. The many wells from which the city derives its name can be found in a beautiful garden setting at the Palace. The Saturday and Wednesday Markets are a useful addition to the many small shops in Wells, so take a look.

All in all a good week...we were only sorry we didn't stay longer...

This was a fantastic well renovated property with all the modern appliances and living of a 5 star new build ,From entrance in through the front you were met with the wow factor ..All rooms were well equipt and loads of space ,
The location was a stone throw from wells centre and easily found ,for those self catering the was a local superstore over the road ,Although wasn`t in eye view or effected by passing traffic .
this was a great base for visiting Somerset ,and Devon .
The owners have excelled in this development and is well worth a visit

“Perfect base from which to explore and come back to afterwards”
Reviewed 12 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Picked simply on availability and cost for a 5 night break with two teenage kids plus one teenage friend.
Had a great time in what is clearly a very recently refurbed and set up holiday rental.
All rooms were of a good size with plenty of wow factors inc large kitchen/diner, courtyard garden with v comfortable furniture, spotlights in two main rooms to give it a special feel and all finished to a high order.
We always look to get away somewhere which offers a good base to explore the local area from and which is then good enough for the kids to want to come back to afterwards. This one ticks all of those boxes and allows you to relax, chill, unwind after a days exploring Bristol Zoo, Minehead, Weston super Mare etc with all well within driving reach.
On the 5th day we visited Glastonbury, 5 miles down the road, and after finishing there at around 3pm all the kids wanted to do was get back to the cottage - praise indeed!!!!
Great facilities and living space and suitable for all year use - a new added bonus too of a supermarket being just 2 mins walk away but out of sight and hearing distance. Ideal for a family.
Oh and Wells is lovely too!!
