We arrived to be told all the draught beers were off and as we three all appreciate beer this was not a good start.
My friends food was cold and an explanation by the waiter (from the chef) as to how the food was prepared could not hide the fact his food was lukewarm when it really shouldn’t have been.
My two friends plates were cleared whilst I was still eating - not acceptable.
On the plus side the French Malbec was delightful but overall we had the impression that as a hotel restaurant they have a captive audience and consequently don’t need to try too hard.
Very disappointing.

Second time here and just as fantastic as the first, the menu and wine list are well balanced and offer a great choice...
Started with the torched mackerel then Had the belly pork this time, both were to die for.
Can’t recommend this place enough, just what Wells needs, great food and great service to boot

We went here by recommendation of a local. We are new to the area and wanted to eat out for our anniversary. There's a lovely, cosy atmosphere inside the brasserie and we found the staff there to be very friendly. The playlist was brilliant too, haha!
If you are into great food, I'd highly recommend this place. It was delicious! The style is fine dining, and it's cooked from scratch which is what we are looking for. try the cheese souffle, it is seriously tasty. I'm not sure how often the menu changes but perhaps it's a case of if something works - keep doing it. This restaurant also has offers for locals, which is brilliant. We would definitely go back here... Looking forward to it!

If I knew this place was managed by the same person as Rugatino in Wells we would have avoided this place like the plague. Same hospitality, same disappointing food. Dreadful.

We had heard that Sadlers) had lost its star chef and so were wary about going back. No need! Despite initial confusion over our booking, the most important thing - the food! - was excellent, and Emma went out of her way to make us welcome. We were surprised to learn that the meal had been prepared by Chef's No. 2. We'll be back!
