we visited Wells late in the afternoon and stopped here before going to the cathedral. There were signs both inside and out which said jacket potatoes available but when we tried to order there were none. My husband asked if they had wholemeal bread and we were told yes, when the sandwiches arrived it was granary, it may have been wholemeal granary but I was under the impression they were two different things. I asked for the sandwich without butter and it came with a thick layer of butter, to be fair to the staff on duty they rectified it quickly and the sandwich was good, served with a small garnish of salad. I am not sure that if i was in the area i would stop here again. It seems the cafe is also a sales room as the window had items for sale, there was also seating upstairs as when you look in the door there are only 3 tables.
