“A Perfect Gem in the Centre of Avalon”
Reviewed 11 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

After a lovely warm welcome from Katarina we spent a marvelous 3 days here. There is so much to see and do in and around Glastonbury, and Moonstone Cottage is ideally situated with parking and everything you might need provided. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and crockery/cutlery, a large fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and several varieties of coffee makers. There are many good eating places within walking distance, and Glastonbury is perfect for vegetarians or vegans as you will be spoilt for choice. The Co-op in the high street is not far away for provisions and there are major supermarkets a short drive away.

The garden is a joy too, a lovely haven of peace and tranquility, with solar lights which transform the space at night too. There are sun loungers, a picnic table, and a raised patio overlooking the Abbey Grounds with comfortable furniture with cushions and blankets found in the cottage.

We were especially delighted at the thoughtful provision of coffee, cookies and wine, and home baked bread and cake. As Katarina and Mark live next door they are always on hand with friendly advice, but are discrete enough that Katarina actually checked when was convenient for her to water the plants!

How lovely of you to write a review, and such an amazing one too! It was good to see you again, you got super lucky with the weather, might be a little colder in November :) Yes the Co-op, Morrisons and Earthfare (our fantastic health food store) are all in the town centre, a short walk away. Thanks again for your review and for being so tidy. See you in November xx

“Beautiful, relaxing place to stay”
Reviewed 9 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Moonstone Cottage was beautiful, immaculately clean, and had so much character. It was lovely to meet Katarina & David, and they made us feel so welcome. It is only 5 minutes from the town centre and the Tor and had views over Glastonbury Abbey from the back garden, which was also lovely and relaxing. The kids really enjoyed the garden and there were lots of games to play & DVDs to watch in the evenings. We would highly recommend anyone coming to Glastonbury to stay here - a family break we'll always remember.

“My favourite place to stay in my favourite place- perfect!”
Reviewed 21 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We have just returned from our fourth stay at the divine Moonstone Cottage. It is exactly as you see it in the photos- but better! We have stayed at New Year, at the height of Summer, and now in February. It has been wonderful every time. In the Summer you can enjoy the well kept garden, with its raised seating area overlooking Glastonbury Abbey gardens. A great place to eat tea or relax with a drink at the end of the day- if you are lucky as I was one evening, you might even see a badger or two snuffling about the trees over the wall! On a rainy afternooon the cottage is fully equipped with a diverse collection of dvds- both for kids and adults- something for everyone- as well as books and games and stereo and cds. There is also a woodburner to make it extra cosy! The kitchen is stocked with all the equipment you might need for cooking- everything thought of- and it is a lovely space to cook and eat in. Upstairs the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are super comfy.
But what makes Moonstone Cottage extra special is Katarina's time, care and attention to detail. She makes every effort to make sure that you have everything you need. The cottage (and therefore anyone staying!) benefits from all the little thoughtful touches such as candles and beautiful lighting and pictures and art work which decorate it. And, if you are lucky there will be home made cake when you arrive- which is delicious! And of course, you can see the Tor from the bedroom window, and there is all of Glastonbury in its glory for you to discover!

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 27 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Just back from our stay at Moonstone Cottage. Katarina was so lovely, warm and welcoming. The Cottage is beautiful and it was immaculately clean. We had everything we needed, and more. The garden is really cute, quaint and peaceful with a gorgeous view. The Cottage is only a short stroll into town, where we visited the Fabulous Frost Fayre. Glastonbury is a crazy, quirky place and full of wonderful characters. We love it. Thank you for our cake, it was stunning!! We can not recommend Moonstone Cottage Highly enough, and will return. Thank you so much. ps if you see A group of Elves in pictures of the Frost Fayre, that was us. HaHa.

Lovely cottage and garden. Katarina and her family were very welcoming and even made us bread and an apple crumble! An added bonus was the badgers at the bottom of the garden (more or less). Highly recommended.

Thank you Lynn and family for your great review. It has been a long time since we posted a public response (instead I tend to send private responses). Wanted to say how much we appreciate when people take the time to write a review. The badgers live in the Abbey grounds, which is on the other side of the stone wall at the bottom of the garden. It's quite magical to sit on the raised patio with a glass of wine and wait for them to appear at dusk. Glad you enjoyed your week at Moonstone! Blessings :and thanks.
