Excellent, stylish and extremely comfortable accommodation with lovely views run by hosts to match!! Think it would be very hard to find anything at all to fault.
Amazing place to stay which was even more spacious than the website photographs suggested and beautifully appointed with every requirement catered for.
Within a short walk of the city centre with all its restaurants and beautiful spa and within easy reach of all the Skyline walks around Bath and the National Arboretum at Westonburt - so the best of both worlds-town and country.
We can't wait to return.
I am so glad I chose The Place for a 3 night stay with my daughter. It was our first time in Bath and it is a beautiful place. Coming back to such a calm, spacious apartment made it more special for all the reasons already outlined in other reviews - the glorious views, comfortable beds, robes, fantastic spacious shower, chocolates, breakfast hamper, sherry & various types of coffee (+ teabags provided). There was also a beautiful vase of fresh lilies which made the living room smell fantastic. There were many magazines to browse and books so even on a very rainy day which we had one day, I didn't get bored. I loved the natural look and feel of the carpets too and the sofas were so comfy. The Kingsize bed was made into 2 singles for us.
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and were shown quickly around the apartment. The first thing my daughter did is have a sherry and I made a coffee with the pod coffee maker and we tucked into the Green & Black chocolates.
If coming by train & aren't getting a taxi, it is approx 15-20 mins walk. Turn left as come out of station towards Brunel Square, then left again through a tunnel then across the bridge.
Don't let the steep hill leading to The Place put you off. We managed it after walking for hours (through beautiful Batheaston village) to Solsbury Hill, made famous by the Peter Gabriel hit many year's ago. At the top there are amazing views across Bath.
We went to the Belle Inn one night in the centre as we wanted some free live music. There was a popular band called RSVP Bhangra (look them up on You Tube) which I think play there often, which got many regulars dancing. Quite a cramped venue though.
If book, your information will say that toiletries are provided but there is 1 mini shampoo so you will still need to bring your own, particularly if 2 women. Wouldn't matter if you ran out if coming by car as can buy some but when travelling lightly don't particularly want to be buying extra things to carry.
Had a lovely 2 nights stay at The Place, located only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Bath. The apartment is beautiful and the breakfast hamper was such a lovely touch as we didn't need to buy anything for breakfast which was handy. There was also chocolates and a small bottle of bubbles which was a really nice surprise! The views from upstairs are amazing and the whole apartment is beautifully furnished. After spending the day exploring in Bath we always looked forward to coming back! I cannot fault this apartment at all and will definitely be coming back soon! :)
We had a great time, the house was very clean and comfortable. There was nothing missing and the kitchen was super equipped. The hosts have left coffee, sugar, milk, chocolates, a bottle of sparkling wine, juices and more.
The bathroom was served by towels, robes, and personal cleaning products.
The bed was a very comfortable king-size.
In short ... there was nothing missing.
