Our room was up one flight so ability to carry your luggage upstairs is important unless there is help. The room was quite nice. The bathroom was modern but small and expected with a 17 century building. There is a loving courtyard. The pub downstairs was not bothersome. The location is great. You can walk to everything. A good choice for the average traveller.

Good service. Excellent food. Charming chef/host/owner.
Best Sunday lunch for many, many years. A proper home roast feel to it. Amazing gravy. He even shared his recipe with me. Really appreciated.
Delicious. Will definately be back.

My wife and I stayed with our 15 month old daughter for 2 nights. The owners were very accommodating and our room was clean and comfortable. The food (both breakfast and evening meals) was excellent and the bar was a friendly place to have a drink. The location is excellent being both very central yet quiet and off the beaten track. Being only 5 minutes walk from the Roman Baths and the Abbey we were able to come and go as we pleased. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay for a night or 2 in Bath.

A lovely homecooked proper Sunday lunch, a choice of roasts, yorkshire puddings and bowls of well cooked vegetables to share including a lovely cauliflower cheese. More than enough to go around. Very charming hosts and a nice atmosphere. We were tempted by the desserts and the sticky toffee pudding and bread & butter pudding went down very well. If I was going to make one small suggestion it would be to have home made apple sauce to go with the pork rather than out of a jar. Great location too.
