We loved this B&B. I had noticed it on a previous trip and vowed if I returned to stay there. (which is exactly what we did) . The room had a fireplace(not that we used it) but made for a cozy touch. The breakfast room was lovely . Our hosts couldn't do enough for us. A beautiful tub to soak in after a long day of walking and relax those sore feet. The location could not have been better in my opinion.Brock is located on the connecting road between The Royal Crescent and the Circus. The only drawback was that the internet wouldn't work in our room. We needed to use the common room but the room was comfortable and gave us a chance to meet other visitors.
Tip there is a laundry mat around the corner one street up and on the right.

Room Tip: We had a large room as we had three of us traveling together and it was a terrific value. Might even...

I agree with the other reviews... the location is excellent. The atmosphere is great and the building is beautiful. When we checked in "Richard" had just flown the coop and so the couple who were running the show had just been thrown in. The room hadn't been vacuumed or swept and it never did get cleaned the whole time we were there. They never made our beds or gave us new glasses. We did have fresh towels. The food was good and they were very nice. I do think that this is NOT typical service for Brock's but I would make sure before you book that the management is settled. If our room were better taken care of I would give this hotel an excellent rating. You can't beat the location.

Room Tip: Our room was on the very top floor. It was a good size for a family of 4.

Adorable hotel, great atmosphere. Love the age of the eighteenth-century building. Spacious bathroom. Quite clean. Good breakfast. Well-located within easy walking distance of all the major sites.

My only complaint is that my friend and I found the beds rather uncomfortable. They're VERY firm. This is probably a personal thing - I know some people like firm beds, but I'm not one of them. Also - and this is just a mild annoyance - we couldn't find a plug anywhere near a mirror. There's one in the bathroom, but it's a 2-prong plug designed only for electric razors. There was another one in the room itself, but there was no mirror nearby, so we ended up having to do our hair with the reflection from the picture frame glass. Not the end of the world, but why not hang a mirror there rather than a picture?

The location is ideal (right between the Circus and Royal Crescent) and the room (#4) was lovely. Couldn't believe how big the bathroom was. Richard was great, the breakfasts delicious and the bed was crazy comfortable. It was so quiet there at night....(our room faced the back)

Room Tip: #4 faces the back of the house, crazy quiet. Bathroom large, fireplace. So cozy.

This was our first time in Bath. Brock's was an excellent choice primarily because of it's location. It was just a 10 -15 minutes walk from the train station and is located a short distance away from the center of town. So it's an easy walk to town but on a quiet street between the beautiful Crescent and the Circus. My husband, daughter and I had the family room at the top of the lovely house. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Richard is a wonderful host. He works so hard----greeting guests, helping us with a parking permit, cooking breakfast. Yet he is always pleasant and gracious. Breakfast was substantial.
