The audio-guide made this experience and it is completely worth taking (hire included in the ticket).

They also had a handful of the artefacts in a feel-form for blind visitors. I would recommend buying tickets online, the queue looked very long.

Had a great hour or so looking around the Roman baths and was very surprised of the amount that had been preserved. A fascinating place with amazing roman engineering.

There is an overwhelming amount of information in the Roman Baths. It is so well done and so informative that I felt like a scholar when I left! I really enjoyed myself and can't believe that the Baths were only discovered 300 years ago.

...It would still be an attraction.

Common section, male section, female section. Hot and cold baths under roof in rainy Britain, and with a steady supply of hot water (this is not a given in Britain today). It would be more luxurious than most public swimming pools are today, and the service mostlikely better.

Add to that that the central pool could still be functional after MM years with hot water flowing, and a basin that is not leaking.

History is very well communicated here.

Having first been here as a child with my own parents, it was lovely to revisit with my own family. It’s difficult to imagine visiting the city without seeing the baths.
