“Lovely apartment close to Bath city centre”

The Old Smithy Loft is a spacious, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean apartment, in a quiet residential area of Bath. We really appreciated the extra touches, such as good quality toiletries and even cotton wool pads in each bedroom - the owners have given a lot of thought to ensuring guests have everything they need. The beds were super comfortable, with good quality bedding and soft fluffy towels. The parking space right outside is a real plus, as on-street parking in the area is hard to find.
Every morning we walked along Pulteney Street, one of Bath's most beautiful streets, to reach the city centre, less than 10 minutes away. It was lovely to return each evening to The Old Smithy Loft to relax on the sofas and prepare for a night out. I would definitely recommend this lovely apartment to anyone visiting Bath.

“Couldn't fault it!”

Bath is such a pretty place and The Old Smithy Loft is the perfect place to stay whilst visiting. Easy to find, it's location is very convenient for the city centre and you can leave your car at the loft and walk (approx.15 minutes) to see the main attractions of Bath or the nearest Hop on/Hop off bus-stop is about 5 minutes down the road (£14.50 for a 24hr ticket which is valid for the two tours offered in Bath).

The Loft has everything you could need, all the mod cons - Wi-Fi, DVD player, a TV in both bedrooms, hair-dryer and iron/board and the kitchen is well equipped (sponge, washing up liquid is provided). The two bedrooms have a luxurious feel and the master bedroom has a massive super kingsized bed, very comfy! The owners provide toiletries, tea & coffee, etc and have injected charm into the place with some homely touches. Unfortunately, I didn't find the sofas that comfortable but the loft has clearly been lovingly looked after and the facilities appear to be newly renovated - it even smelled like fresh paint! (Once inside, there is a staircase up to the loft but after that, everything is on one level. Access is via a key code which is a very convenient way to access the building.)

Last thing to mention is the very handy Tesco Express which is about 3 minutes away and provided our dinner when we arrived rather late in Bath and didn't fancy trekking out. Was the perfect night in in front of the TV before exploring Bath the next day after a good night's sleep. Oh, and communication with the owner Ann was so easy - she was very accommodating, helpful and responded promptly which is always appreciated.

Would have loved to stay longer and thanks for a great visit - will be back!

“A cosy, elegant apartment within walking distance to everything”

Booking "The Old Smithy" was a breeze. The owners were so helpful and obliging. When we arrived the second bedroom hadn't been made up as a double bed. That was absolutely no problem to the owners and they changed it immediately.
The apartment itself is stunning, every aspect! Beautifully restored, lovely furniture and a seriously well equipped kitchen. Some really welcoming touches were the chocolates and the decanter of sherry.
We loved staying here, we walked everywhere and just had a wonderful time.
Thanks

“Great place for the family”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Down for graduation day, and needed the extra space with lounge. This worked perfectly, about 10 mins walk into Bath, easy to find and a parking spot, accommodation was in very good order. Would happily use it again.
Was contacted prior to the stay by the owner who asked if we wanted twin beds or doubles.
