Just back from a fabulous 2 night break here. We had a warm welcome by the new owner and all the staff were great and helpful. Food was excellent and the place was very popular for food and drink, we ate here on our first night and had a wonderful meal. The breakfast was excellent and kept us going for the day's exploring. Everything was fantastic and just as we were expecting. The Inn is steeped in history as well as the street where it is located. Perfectly located for visiting this lovely English town. I will say if you want to visit this lovely town don't delay in booking here as it has 5 rooms and all were taken on our Monday / Tuesday night stop. All in all a wonderful break. Thank you to the staff at the inn for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back to visit . Thanks Jackie and Cath Derbyshire

Arrived around 4pm on a saturday to be greeted by the new manager. He helped us store our bicycles and get settled. Room was excellent and all we needed. The location was central, a short uphill walk into the town centre. We had a beer in the bar downstairs before having a few more around town. Breakfast was excellent, checking out quick & easy. A smashing little pub we'd have no hesitation returning to should we find ourselves in Ludlow again.

We visited Ludlow for the weekend and on the Sunday after struggling to find somewhere that served food after 3pm we were told by a local man Bob that the wheatsheaf were doing food till 8pm. The food was absolutely delicious! Definitely get the Sunday roast if you visit. The service was wonderful, Heidi was more than happy to cater to your every need.

We had such a lovely time chatting to the new landlord and the locals, they made us feel welcomed and at home.

Would recommend to anyone visiting
Ludlow. And for the previous reviews suggesting that the decor is dated, there is a revamp coming soon.
