“Lovely cottage in a great little town”

We stayed at Upper Linney for a few nights early September 2013. The cottage is really clean, comfortable and Rosemary has given it a lot of attention to detail, providing a great welcome with fresh eggs, cakes and flowers. It is very well appointed, has a lovely courtyard to sit in the sun and enjoy the night sky. Very close to the town and beautiful surrounding countryside to explore. We would highly recommend this cottage.

“Great place in a great location”

We've stayed at 19 Upper Linney a number of times of recent years and would highly recommend it to any couple looking to stay in Ludlow.
Rosemary has appointed the cottage to a high standard, making it feel like a home from home. The location is excellent, being set just a couple of hundred yards from the town yet on a quiet and secluded lane.
We're booked in to stay again later this year and already looking forward to it.

“Perfection”

We spent 4 lovely nights here, but wish we could have stayed much longer. The house had all of the vital components that make for a great stay - super-clean, quiet and a very comfortable bed. It is decorated in a user-friendly way and has all of the necessities for a carefree visit. There is a peaceful walled garden at the back as well. Rosemary, the owner was a delight to deal with. Always very prompt in her responses to our questions. She also extended a very warm welcome to us that included one of the best "welcome" baskets we have encountered (especially the yummy little cakes). The location is excellent as well. The historic downtown area with its shops and restaurants is just up a slight hill and around the corner - 3-5 minutes walk. In short, the house has everything a visitor could desire to make one feel at home and like a local. We hope to return for a much longer stay in the near future. When in Ludlow, don't even think of staying anywhere else.

“Comfortable cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 26 March 2014 for a stay in January 2013

We stayed at 19 Upper Linney for a long weekend during the blizzards of January 2013. It was a perfect place to be snowed in! The cottage was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy; my husband loves to cook and the kitchen had every utensil he could ask for, as well as herbs and spices; the bedroom was lovely with a massive, comfortable bed; the bathroom was spotless, warm and plenty of hot water. We even used the garden to build a snowman- I would love to see it in summer, it is very atmospheric being bordered by the town walls. The cottage is perfectly located in a quiet side street but a five minute walk to the centre. You do not need a car to stay here. The owner Rosemary was very friendly and helpful; and the welcome basket she provided delicious. We had a lovely holiday despite the weather thanks to Rosemary.
