“Great rental for all the family”
Reviewed 27 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

I travelled with my teenage daughters, partner and 83 year old mother. We wanted accommodation near the town centre so we could all do our own thing. The town centre is 3 minutes walk up the hill through the only remaining town gate. The town itself is largely unspoilt and has many specialist food suppliers, restaurants and pubs which live up to the high reputation Ludlow has as a foodie utopia.

The original house is very old with a number of period features but is recently decorated and has a modern kitchen and bathrooms. All the rooms are warm and comfortable with period decor. There is also a small private garden to the rear which is a quiet and secluded location for an early evening sundowner.

Both the Charlton Arms and Wheatsheaf Inn are less than a minutes walk away and provide excellent food and very good real ale for those of you in CAMRA. If neither are to your taste. There are more good pubs and restaurants than you can get through in a week within walking distance.

There is plenty of interesting local history nearby and the picturesque towns of Much Wenlock, Tenbury Wells, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury an easy drive from Ludlow.

The nice part of taking a family holiday in Ludlow in August is that although the town is busy with tourists it is not overwhelming. The small local roads are still passable and shops etc are thriving but not so crowded as to make shopping an issue.

We would definitely stay again and look forward to our next visit.

“Clean, comfortable, and convenient town house - a little gem”
Reviewed 29 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We have just spent a week at this house with a family of two children (16 & 10). The cottage has been refurbished quite recently, and is tastefully done. It is clean, very comfortable and well equipped, and very convenient to the town centre, yet quiet.
