“A magnificent Manor House retreat in beautiful Shropshire”

This was our second visit to the Manor House, the first visit being in the snow last year. We wanted to enjoy the Manor House and gardens in the summer and it certainly didn't disappoint. Once again we were made very welcome by Emma and Chris who couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. We used all the wonderful facilities on offer - grass court tennis, golf, table tennis, BBQ, snooker, air table football and even a night time hide and seek in the wonderful extensive grounds. It's a truly magnificent grand house with everything you could possibly want for a memorable weeks holiday. Wonderful week feeling like Lords and Ladies of our own Manor.

“A family weekend to remember”

We booked The Manor House for a family double birthday celebration with 6 adults and 4 young children. From the moment we arrived everyone felt very relaxed and the children were soon exploring the grounds. We were very well looked after by Emma and Chris who were particularly helpful when we discovered that we had a puncture on the morning that we left. They helped us to pump up the tyre and gave us directions to TNT tyre fitters in Ludlow who were also helpful and efficient in fixing the problem
Over the extended weekend we were able to enjoy seeing the children getting a great deal of fun out of the well laid out play area and the big boys were soon battling it out on the testing golf course.
The kitchen layout was perfect for all of us to prepare and eat food together and we will certainly be visiting again. One suggestion is that we come back every year for a week long holiday for all the family.

“Amazing house and gardens”

A perfect holiday house for an extended family. We were six adults and six children ranging in age form 9 years to 4 months. The enclosed grounds were very safe and perfect for the children to play in - both small ponds were very securely fenced and posed no problem at all. The children loved the tree house, swings and tennis court. The house was immaculate and spacious - plenty of room for a quiet read whilst the children played elsewhere! Many thanks to Jo for answering all my questions before we booked and to Emma for being so available and helpful throughout our stay. We would love to return one day in the future.

“To the Manor Born”

The Manor House had something for everyone, offering all age groups a relaxing time. Having spent an entire week there, we returned home honestly rested but without having been short of things to do; not something one can say after every holiday. The facilities have been noted in previous reviews, so I can only emphasise the high standard of everything, including Emma and Chris who were both welcoming and helpful. One couldn't ask for more.

“We thought it would be good but it exceeded our expectation.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The Manor House proved an ideal location for all of our family with ages spread across a 75 year range. We were particularly well looked after by Emma and her husband Chris. The house and its extensive grounds are well maintained and this particularly includes the challenging golf course. We especially enjoyed the birdwatching with a goshawk flyover, and good views of spotted flycatcher and great spotted woodpecker.
