“April break”
Reviewed 16 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Great location for local museums and for Ironbridge, plenty of decent pubs nearby for food, etc. Apartment is good and has what you need but could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Satellite receiver wasn’t working during our visit which was a pain at times as weather was bad and we had our young granddaughter with us. Nevertheless, I’d stay again.

“Great apartment!”
Reviewed 26 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We spent 11 nights here at Peter's apartment. It's lovely and quiet yet within easy walking distance of Ironbridge and numerous pubs (the Black Swan is moments away) and within easy driving distance of the Shropshire hills for walks and views. There is so much to do around the area, the Ironbridge museums are all fascinating, we especially enjoyed the Broseley Pipe museum and the Jackfield Tile museum (directly across the road) that we ran out of time!
We found the apartment comfortable and extremely well equipped and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jackfield.

“Half term break with the family”
Reviewed 3 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked here as a base to visit the Ironbridge gorge and museums. The setting was ideal - all museums are in walking distance - as long as you don't mind walking and hills! We were lucky that the sun shone for almost our entire visit and although the property lacks outdoor space the local pubs all have gardens and are child-friendly. The Half Moon is a couple of minutes walk along the river and offers lots of outdoor seating; the Black Swan is slightly closer walking towards Ironbridge and does good food but the kitchen is closed on Sunday evenings.
The kitchen is well equipped for feeding the family and there are instructions for the appliances but they are tucked away in a drawer rather than obvious.
The bedrooms downstairs got rather hot - there's no ventilation at night as the windows are too big to leave open, so the down side of the glorious weather was rather warm nights - air conditioning or a fan would really help this.
We would definitely stay here again if returning to the area.

Thank you for your comments.
Even though large, the windows can be left ajar on hot days to allow additional ventilation.

“Wonderful "home" to borrow”
Reviewed 25 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Our thanks to Peter for letting us use his "home" - yes that's what it was. Perfectly sited. Very comfortable with everything one could need for a house. Downstairs 2 bedrooms - i double - light airy and spacious; 1 twin - large but no window and does for kids. Downstairs bath/shower etc for bedrooms. Upstairs large sitting room dining area kitchen - with big windows and light; even a small "study area" with full IT connections up another small flight of stair in the garret. We will certainly hopefully use again when we take the grand children to do thearea

“Disappointing”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The apartment is in a lovely location, just short walks from all the local museums and Ironbridge. Unfortunately we were not informed that the local road was being reconstructed and therefore the site vehicles came trundling past the flat early in the morning and again at the end of the afternoon.
The description of the facilities within the flat was good and it was nice to have WiFi, but I feel a little work is needed to bring the flat up to its full potential for example: there is nowhere for your clothes in the double bedroom.
There were a nice selection of pamphlets with local sites but a folder with the instructions on how to use any of the electrical goods would have been a bonus.
There is no balcony or terrace, or bicycles available as described in the details.
Please do not be fooled by the other comment on this site as the third floor section is the owners private area.
The apartment is not worth the rental we were charged.

Thank you for your complementary comments.
However it’s important to point out:
I have no control over temporary road repairs and traffic
There’s a 2m high triple bay large wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom - enough storage for a family of 4 people.
The description of the property shows a Juliet Balcony in the pictures and there are bikes to hire close by.
This property, at £20/head, is the cheapest within the World Heritage Site area.
Thank you again for your visit and pleased that your party did enjoyed their stay.
