One of Sheffield's best parks. Great open spaces, excellent cafe and kids' playground along with a golf course, duck pond and rare breeds farm! The car park isn't free anymore, but well worth the cost to support the facilities that are available.
Our children have always enjoyed visiting the animals, even now that they are 20+ and it has been good to see how it has grown from just a barn and a few sheep and goats into an educational and fun place for children to enjoy.
Ok, so you now need to pay to park. Either except or park outside the park - but be mindful of neighbours to the park.
It’s fantastic to walk around the animals & children can run ahead a bit & still he in view. Plenty of hand sanitizer around.
Lots of green space to picnic or play ball games.
Cafe is quaint & could do with being updated but prices& quality fair.
As the kids get older the farmyard has less of a draw and the same goes for the playground. We always enjoy the walk around the park, ponds and woods. Downsides are the big patch of very wet grass in between the farm yard and the playground and the cafe is always really busy
Very nice lots to see local so that's ideal weather permitting value for money overall a nice day out
Spent a few hours here, had a lovely walk in the snow, saw all the animals and had lunch at the cafe. It is cheap to park and free to get in. We had a nice afternoon but the park hasn't been renovated in years and could do with some extra funding because it would be a shame to lose it. Great place for families to visit.
We went with our 3 children who loved seeing and feeding the animals. It’s a very nice park which is kept very clean. It has its own cafe too which is nice. The kids park is very good.
Nice and cheap day out for the children. You can spend all day with kids if you take a picnic.
The only down side the car park isn’t very big and on a nice day it is hard to find parking.
Overall enjoyable for the children and cheap for parents because there is no entrance fee. 👍🏻
