I picked this hotel at random from a list provided by a client of mine in Reading. The price was good and the location looked convenient. Don't be put off by the rather horrible views (either a parking lot or a highway overpass) as there are great bars and restaurants within a five minute walk - if you get pointed in the right direction. The wifi worked well and was free. The beds and pillows were exceptionally good. But best of all, the staff is absolutely top-notch - the Premier chain clearly knows how to train service personnel. The only drawback was the lighting, which was low energy and inconvienient - the desk lamp had a horrible fluorescent bulb and was screwed to the desk so it couldn't be moved. There was a good selection of international news channels on the tv. And the hotel was QUIET. All in all, a good choice, even though the room and amenities were strictly no frills.

Premier are always good value for money , this is one of the best. We parked on Friday and didn't move the car till Sunday as everything is on the door step in walking distance . We are already talking about our next visit.

Good hotel, well presented and friendly staff. Great location for Reading town centre. Very clean room. Great buffet breakfast. Can't complain about anything.
Although not free, there is parking here but it's not advertised on the Web site. Very handy to park right out the back of a town centre based hotel.
