We were passing through on route to Blenheim Palace and decided to meet friends at this pub for a bite to eat. The menu provided good options for light bites and main meals (and anything in-between) but was not so large that you felt everything must be out of the freezer! I ordered the Brixham fish & chips which was "Ling" fish and very fresh plus was a generous portion with choice of 3 different fries inc sweet potato, my wife ordered calamari with garlic mayo plus the tiger prawns with chorizo from the light bites menu both of which were devoured with ease. My 13 year old son ordered the classic burger which was enormous and very tasty but only just off blue (we like it pink but this was boarder line), and my 11 year old daughter ordered the kids cheese burger which was a good size and she finished it all so it must have been good. Service was a tad slower than we would have liked, taking around 40-45 minutes from order to food on the table, however better to wait for something good and fresh then be given sub-standard freezer food. Price wise it was about normal for this area which is above average. Recommended would be 5 stars if not for slightly slow service and blue-ish burger.
