Stayed at the hotel Friday & Saturday night.
It seems like a fairly new hotel, based about 15 minutes from oxford.

Hampton is the budget part of Hilton & I paid just £84 for Saturday. I added Friday on & that was cheaper at £74.

Checked in online so we were quick at the desk.

Rooms are on the ground floor & over another 2 floors. There’s a lift and they have a choice of Queen room or Queen with a sofa for £10 extra a night.
Disabled rooms available.
Because of location it attracts business visitors, it’s next to Oxford football stadium so could get very busy on match days.

Parking was free.

Our room was quite spacious & very clean.
Bathroom had a walk in shower & again nice & clean.
Only complaint was the heating, despite being on 24 it was a bit chilly due to air conditioning.

Breakfast is included at the Hampton hotels. A buffet with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and potatoes. No tomotoes or mushrooms.
Rolls, pastries, fruit, cheese & cold meat.
Bacon on both days was too hard & had been in the container too long so I didn’t have any. They did bring out fresh bacon on the the Saturday.
Despite the bacon & no mushrooms/tomatoes it was a nice breakfast & there was plenty of it.

We ate in the hotel one evening which is a very basic menu but the price reflects this-£10 for curry rice & a Poppadom. Curry sauce was like it came from a jar but it was still nice. £4 a pint of lager.
You order at the bar & they bring the food to you. The member of staff serving was a friendly, polite lady.

This hotel is next to the football stadium & there’s a cinema, bowling complex. Restaurants were Frankie & Benny’s & an Indian buffet plus a chip shop.
The area seems busy with families & teenagers out for the evening to bowl or watch a film.
The Hampton is just around the corner & when we visited it wasn’t too full.

Not much choice of food outlets near, you need to go into Oxford for that. On the second night we ate in F & B , the service there was great & food was actually nice.

Compared to the price of other hotels I looked at, this hotel was a good price for Oxford. Although a drive away there’s always the option of a taxi.

We enjoyed our stay.

Went into Oxford on the Sunday. Used the park & ride, very convenient.

Stayed two nights midweek for business, lovely modern hotel just lacking a bit of atmosphere. Bar and restaurant very quiet on both nights, very limited food menu 3 starters 3 mains and 3 desserts, that said food was ok. Breakfast was a whole different affair with a wide choice to be had. Stay again yes probably

Things right.. convenience to local amenities

Things not right..
*uncomftable bed that squeaked
*awful flat pillows
*constant noise from extractor in bathroom
*no cutlery at breakfast had to ask 3 times for a knife
*dry cold bacon
*powdered cold eggs

Not even asked how our stay was either
Just money taken on check out and told “thats all nothing else to pay”

Poor girl at breakfast struggling on her own to refil items, clear plates, etc etc while 2 other members of Staff sat behind the check in/out desk

Good night ruined

Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2018. Checkin staff were rather unapologetic as our first room had to be changed due to the keycard device on the wall being broken and was actually hanging off the wall. Our second room (no 001) was okay, however we had to keep our curtains closed constantly as the corridor ran at a 90 degree angle to our ground floor room window and people could see into our room. The sliding door between the wardrobe and bathroom in the room was very stiff and took all my strength to open and close. I also had an itchy skin reaction to the bed sheets which might have been a result of whatever washing powder they used. Also outside the property was very smelly due to the close proximity of Thames water sewage works. On the upside, the breakfast was great, the overall property was modern and clean so I would recommend this place to others regardless of our mediocre stay.

Stayed for one night with my husband. The hotel is modern and contemporary. The staff are very polite, helpful and really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Our room (208) was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is just the right size. We found the pillows too soft. But that’s the only thing I can moan about.

Breakfast is free and plentiful. No fried eggs though :-( I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.
