All round I would say over rated.

Whilst very big on the oh la la - the most modest of French brasseries would be quite ashamed of the food here.

My wife mistakenly ordered a cauliflower crime brûlée as a stater. Honestly we should have been warned off by the utter pretentiousness of the name. It arrived only partially reheated by the microwave. Poor.

We both ordered the Bouillabaisse as the main course. Here we arrive at the problem with British cuisine generally - all show no substance. In Marseille you would have got a high quality fish soup without the need of a puff pastry topping. Here puff pastry shell but the soup inside luke warm with some of the fish / seafood badly undercooked.

Ille Flotant desert was quite well executed - credit where credit is due. But overall a triumph of pretension over quality.

We visited on 4th April, during a short trip to Oxford for sightseeing. This place is a little gem. Superb food with exquisite flavours. Very efficient service and the staff treated us in such a friendly and welcoming way. There is a terrific ambiance here as well. We will definitely return when we are next in Oxford.

Great value (£16.50 for three courses) and the best Sunday roast I've had in Oxford. Beef is generous, pink and tender, served with roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, herby veg and a really nice red wine gravy. Starters and puddings are good too.

Have eaten here on many occasions and the food is always delicious. It's a must for any trip to Oxford. Always busy so you need to book.

I really enjoy this place and it's always been busy when I've visited. If you enjoy a bustling, lively atmosphere, this place is perfect. The food is proper authentic French food, and the service has always been excellent. As an added bonus, the prices are very reasonable too, and the location in Little Clarendon Street is great.
