This is a one of a kind flat immediately adjacent to the entrance to Oxford University. If you want to visit Oxford and tour the University and town this flat will put you in the middle of everything. Everything is a short walk.
The Oxford Town Hall apartment offers a very unique experience as it is situated in a beautiful period building (which also houses a museum) and is the only flat in the building!
It's a comfortable, spacious flat which is right in the heart of Oxford, with fantastic views from the living area and two decent-sized bedrooms and a relatively modern kitchen. The location could not be better.
Access to the flat is via a number of staircases and various doors, which is a little cumbersome but adds to the 'olde worlde' charm of the building. For this reason it may not be suitable for older travellers, as there is no lift access.

Landlord was duplicitous. Pretends to be helpful and accomodatong. Received phone call on flat landline from s8meone claiming the power was going to be turned off. Horrid pet/smoke smell deep within pillows and bedding, and landlord/agent accused me of being the one to cause the smell, which I pointed out on days 1 and 2, now 3 (takes much longer for that kind of smell to accrue Ceiling entry into the apartment I cannot reach to close, connected to the rest of the building (a secuirty issue?). False advertising. Gotlocked out as 4 or 5 keys are required to gain entry into the building and flat and landlord would not return my calls and text. We checked in 1 August, it is the 4th.. I prepaid over or around a month in advance, full rent, security/damage deposit, huge booking fee and cleaning fee. He has taken the infected pillows and bedcovers/blankets with no offer to provide me with replacements. This is UK and it gets cold. If you are 6 feet 2 inches tall, you will have to turn your head sideways when you shower. Minimal toilet paper upon arrival. Flat rental rate is high end. The penetrating smells of men's cologne on the pillows, the animalsmell on the fancy 5 star hotel fluffy bed covers, plus the landlord's denial of any knowledge of such odious odors, makes a lovely Oxford Townhall, Oxford Museum old world charm an unsanitary and intensely sinister (for women and young student male adults) place. The "landlord" identifies himself as Stanley Caan. We are in this flat till check out on 9 August, with no real sign that he will refund my money, or apply it to an upscale hotel nearby. Horrid.
