“Lovely Cottage in Great Location”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Lovely clean and well equipped cottage. Located in the Jericho area of Oxford. In walking distance of endless bars and restaurants and about 10 mins into central Oxford. Owner available to be contacted if anything needed. We had a couple of small things/issues we raised and these comments/improvements were gratefully taken. I would definitely return to this cottage.

“Wonderful place in Jericho!”
Reviewed 4 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We spent a week in this house while visiting Oxford over the summer and really enjoyed our time there. The house was very clean, was a good layout for our family (me, my wife and 2 young kids), and even had a large selection of movies to watch. The house is located in the Jericho neighborhood right near lots of great restaurants and a short (15-20 minute) walk to the center of Oxford. We would definitely stay here on our next visit!

“Lovely Home”

Myself, Husband and Daughter spent 4 nights at Liz's lovely home. The house was spotlessly clean - which is the main thing I look for on arrival. All living areas of the home are comfortable. Pictures on the site are accurate. Bathroom upstairs is large and worked fine for the 3 of us. Extra toilet in the laundry room was good to have. I used the combo washer/dryer and hung the damp clothes on the line in the fenced back yard to finish drying - perfect. Master bedroom was quiet at night not much traffic on the road. Beds were very comfortable. Upstairs floors are a bit creaky, but should be expected with an older building. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking - we did not cook though. Great places to eat close by, we loved the pizza and food at Mamma Mia right around the corner on Walton Street. All of Oxford Colleges are within walking distance, but we did walk a lot. There were plenty of hop on/off buses around which we did not use.
The only suggestions are supplying ice trays in the freezer (we bought a small bag of ice from the small grocery around the corner). Having 2 sets of keys so if guests go off on their own at night they can take a set of keys with them. The lock box is convenient but in a dark corner at night. And supplying an additional roll of paper in the bathrooms. There was less than a 1/3 roll in both toilets on arrival.
None of the above would stop us from staying at Liz's home again. We highly recommend this home!

“A pleasant townhouse convenient to restaurants and the university”

A colleague and I rented this two bedroom house during a brief visit to Oxford University. It's just a quick walk from the university (for us, the Math Institute), and the restaurants nearby on Walton Road are worth trying. I took the rear bedroom (to avoid light from street lamps through my open window and slept well. The spacious bathroom is well equipped, with both a tub and a large shower stall.

The house has a well equipped kitchen, so cooking is no problem. Of course, you have to go shopping upon arrival to buy your own food, supplies and perishables, such as garbage can liners, toilet paper, butter, coffee, and black pepper corns.

The bedrooms and bath are upstairs and the street is quiet, with little traffic. I would recommend it even for a longer sabbatical stay.

There were many DVD's by the TV and detective novels on the bookshelves, which might help while away the hours.

“Great location! Great cottage! ”

Stayed for 3 nights. Superb rental! Superb renovation! Great little cottage! Very steep stairs! All you need supplied! Even has a large back garden and patio!! Main bed large, second has 2 beds, but very cosy space! Bath with shower cubic!e upstairs. A handy 2 nd loo downstairs. Good open plan lounge kitchen space. Biggest problem was parking space. This needs to be in the street and not always in the street that house located in. Need a permit supplied by owner. However walking distance to central Oxford either via street or a great canal walk, or a very short bus ride. Shops around corner, great pub on next corner, all you need. Love it! So pleased we booked it! Made our Oxford stay even better. Only down side apart from parking was the not so great first impression when arriving! Bins by front door and weeds in small front area. But walk thru the door changed that! Recommend. Great location and quiet street.
