The last, old-style cafe in central Oxford, serving a traditional British breakfast throughout the day as well as a range of other basics. Clean, tidy and friendly - as well as providing just the kind of authentic food you might hope to find promptly and for a reasonable price. A firm favourite for years. The location - just inside the Covered Market - is great too,

This place was around in my childhood and I always make a point if revisiting each time I return to Oxford.
Fabulous covered market and quirky shops nearby.

Very nice coffee and my s on had a lovely breakfast what a lovely friendly place no frills but who needs that with good food and great service with a smile we always pop in here when visiting Oxford before hitting the shops. A great start to the day off before hitting the shops.

This is a reasonably priced café in the covered market down a side street behind Boots. The service was good and the café is clean and well maintained. The food was fairly enjoyable and the tea average. The passing tourists peer in to watch you eat but that did not put me off. Overall, a clean, efficient and cost effective place to have something to eat.

Not a bad spot for breakfast- seems good value for Oxford, we paid £18 for 2 x big breakfasts (egg, bacon, sausages, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms & toast) as well as 2 x nice coffees.
The cafe is cosy with a range of tourists & locals popping in or taking away. I think they would do awesome hang over food too, I can imagine coming here for a takeaway greasy roll on the way to work if I was a tad under the weather.
Service is fast & friendly- they take both cash & card payments.
