We did think the price a little high, but it was certainly worth every penny. The Great Hall and staircase leading to it were.magnificent. The amount of history in that room, with the portraits of so many men who became prime ministers is incredible. It was also the seat of the Royalist parliament in the civil war. The church is breathtaking and worthy in its own right of a visit as are the cloisters and the Wren tower. The whole makes for a fine college to visit.

Lovely visit on a cold day, appreciating how the general ambience would have been for scholars in the past. No spoilers - just soak up the atmosphere.

I think most people go here because the dining room was used in the Harry Potter films. However, it is so much more than that. The architecture is stunning, there is an amazing quadrangle, and the jewel in the crown is the fact that it has its own Cathedral! It really gives you a feel of what it would be like to study at Oxford University. Once you have done the tour, you can also wonder around the grounds for free - they take you to the river. The only slight downside is that sometimes the queues can be a little long to get in (oh and apparently Oxford residents can get in for free, but I'm not sure about that and forgot to take ID).

If you have never been in such a school with centuries of history, 13 British prime-ministers in the curriculum and an amazing sort of architectural and art issues please don’t miss this jewel and take some time to know this.
The Hall where the Harry Potter meals scenes were recorded will also make your children , or even adults happy. At 7 pm listen to sacred music at the surprising Csthefral.
