We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary yesterday having supper at The Bat and Ball. What a lovely time we had - service was welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious. What more can I say. Thank you to Sophie and her great team.

Enthusiastic & Friendly staff, nice traditional English pub atmosphere at the bar. Beautifully presented & tasting food that was far beyond my expectation.
Thoroughly enjoyed, especially my lamb dish, and will certainly be returning soon.

We have had two delicious Sunday roasts here this year (have been coming for a few years now) and Sunday Roast is our least favourite meal out as it’s never as good as homes. The Bat and Ball have changed that and we can confidently book a table knowing it will be delicious.
The only downside is we wish it was walkable from Wheatley! Wheatley needs a Bat&Ball

I have eaten here a number of times now. Although the menu isn't massive (a good thing in my book), the basic principle is what they do, they do well. The bar area itself has a lovely atmosphere with a very strong cricket theme, and the staff are very friendly. Can't get much better really.

We live locally and love this place. Great, home-cooked food in a homely atmosphere. The veggie options are especially good as they're more interesting than most pub or even restaurant options. Our dog is also treated like a queen when we visit - well behaved dogs will often get a biscuit!
