Don’t be put off by the sat nav telling you to go off road. This cottage is off the beaten track. It’s a wonderful quiet location but close enough to Hexham to buy things. Ian is a friendly host and helps in any way he can. The cottage is wonderfully equipped and has a great welcome pack. There are lots to do and see in this area of the country. So book this cottage while it’s available.
Had a 3 night stay with my Wife and our two dogs. Very conveniently located for the attractions in the area with Hexham being around 1 0 mins driving for essentials and supplies.
The moment you walk through the door there is an air of homeliness and welcoming, we were particularly impressed with the décor which, though a little eclectic fitted the place perfectly. There were a number of board games a play Station Satellite TV and the WiFi worked really well.
The Kitchen is very well equipped with everything you are ever likely to need if you don't wish to eat out.
Would not hesitate to recommend the place especially for those travelling with their dogs but the morning dawn chorus from the kennels is something you should be aware of ( didn't bother us in the slightest )
Our second visit here and we truly love it. I. Fact, the family want to come back again.
Ideally situated - and perfect for our dogs. Everything to hand you could possibly need.
A true home from home!
Very close to Hadrians Wall and Hexham, perfect views from the house itself and the garden is lovely. Accommodation was cosy and very clean, with nice welcome gifts in the kitchen, which has everything you need to cook for yourself. My only slight concern is the road up to the house, it is a farm track and quite difficult to navigate!
