“Just as good second time around”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Just back from our second stay at Ranters' Chapel. This house is equipped to a really high standard. At no point were we left looking for something - the owner had thought of everything. A welcome of homemade cake and a bottle of fizz always gets a weekend off to a great start.
Hexham is well placed for a day trip to Newcastle or Durham. This time we visited the latter. Park and Ride was definitely the best option to take removing the hassle of parking in the city. The NationalTrust property at Wallington Hall and gardens is well worth a visit. We were lucky enough to visit on an event day - Wallington at War - lots to see and do.
Ranters' Chapel has everything you'd need for self catering, but most of us want to eat out when we're on holiday. There are lots of good take away options as well as great restaurants. We selected Danielle's Bistro - a great choice -but you do need to book. We also ate at The Black Bull in Corbridge. We'd recommend both.

“Walking on Hadrian's Wall”
Reviewed 26 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to walk the iconic section of Hadrian's Wall.
The house sleeps 6 and is situated in the prettiest part of a lovely little market town of Hexham.
It is just a short drive to the wall and the section if long enough for a weeks of walking and museum visits.
The house has everything a group or large family needs and it is beautifully supplied with everything in a very tasteful manner.

Highly recommended

“In the heart of Hexham, the accomodation was of the highest standard”
Reviewed 21 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A 10 day stay with spouse plus cousin and her husband from America. In the heart of Northumberland within 20 mins of Newcastle, the location is ideal. Although we had a car, the bus and train links meant that we could choose public transport for relaxing trips to Newcastle. The accomodation on 3 floors is superb, with a bathroom on each floor, superb fitted kitchen and large bedrooms and lounge.

“Didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We had a lovely, lovely week in one of the most comfortable, modern, tastefully furnished and perfectly equipped houses we've ever been to on holiday and we have fallen madly in love with Hexham and the region - have been to Cornwall quite a few times - now we have another favourite best place to come to from Germany! Thanks so much for the nice warm welcoming!

“A little gem”
Reviewed 3 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Enjoyed a beautiful couple of days in Hexham - walking Hadrian's Wall and exploring the town. Ranters Chapel is absolutely lovely - beautifully styled and decorated throughout with everything tiptop quality - fluffy towels, fine bedlinen right down to the crockery. Ideal location with carparking at the back and a Waitrose in the carpark ! Thoroughly recommend it but maybe not for young children as the spiral stair could be difficult. Great for us though - all 6 of us - two sons with girlfriends. There was plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms so a very comfortable stay was had by all. Thankyou.
