Description: Here at The Grange Inn we offer a wide variety of drinks, great value food in an extremely warm and inviting atmosphere. We always welcome new customers, as well as having a strong local trade. WE are part of Marstons Inns & Taverns and come under the Heritage format, which means we are a community lead pub, with plenty of drinks promotions and good pub food. Visited for a friends birthday and could not fault the place. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. I had the butchers block pizza which would I definitely recommend (lots of toppings!), my partner had a steak and said it was cooked perfectly.
It’s nice to go somewhere as a large group and not feel a burden ordering lots of different cocktails, the guys behind the bar have a good sense of humour and made the evening really enjoyable.
We all agreed we would be returning, thanks for a great night!

Have come here to catch up with a close friend, the place is looking great with the refurbishment, however with the meals, the chicken was very dry on both dishes, and not smothered as the menu states, no check back had been completed to ensure all was ok with our meals.

Normally a great place for food drink and good times!

Well done to the management & staff they made us feel very welcome even though it was our first time there. My steak was cooked just the way I ordered it & the Hen House was really succulent.Very clean & tidy inside & out.A well stocked bar we ordered Hobgoblin & Pedigree which were both first class makes a pleasant change to find a pub that really cares about looking after their real ales. Will definitely return when back in the area much better than most of the Marstons pubs we have been in.

We visited Friday evening as a group of friends. On arrival we sat down and made our way to the bar to place a drinks order. The member of staff didn’t know that Moet was a champagne (but thought it was a red wine). Two of our group ordered a couple of cocktails, but none of the staff knew how to make them, nor did they have all the ingredients, so we gave up on those and ordered bottles drinks. What i can’t understand is why cocktails are on the menu if none of the staff are trained as to how to make them or if the bar doesn’t carry the stock....

Then onto attempting to order food. We placed our order at the bar and went back to our table. We assumed all was well. How wrong we were. A waiter came over to our table advising that sadly the burgers were “not suitable and not coming out right” and therefore were unable to have the burgers. Surely if a dish is out of stock, it shouldn’t be allowed to be ordered at the till!

Once the two ladies from our group had reordered, our Starter arrived. The nachos were not bad to be honest. Onto the mains... how awful these were. I’m not expecting amazing food from a pub, but this was beyond poor. My medium rare steak was completely cremated and gristly. The mixed grill was missing it’s advertised tomato and egg but again wasn’t noticed by the staff. The portion of chips and peas were also tiny and all overcooked. Sauces were also missing from dishes which were advertised, and also came with a barely defrosted corn on the cob!

I would never ever recommend this dire pub.
Marstons, you need to sack the GM of this location and start again!

Have been going into the Grange now more regularly as it is much better since the refurb. Most of the staff are doing a really good job and are very attentive, have to say though on Saturday we had a pizza between us which was absolutely gorgeous, Adam really listened to what we wanted and made it beautifully.
People have to realise that here are new staff here who are still finding their feet and give them a chance - they will get there
Danny, Emma , Adam and Darius have a great sense of humour which is good to see and sometimes is what you need after a long day at work
Well done to all
